Speaking of, I was just skimming through some Future Trunks arc episodes, man I remember the art being a lot better than it actually was, it's crazy how much better this arc looks compared to it.

I'm doing the same thing and wow... It makes me sad that one of my favorite arcs ever from Dragon Ball is plagued with some mediocre art and too much Pilaf gang (which I believe were used so much just to fill episodes time)

My dream is that once Super is over they go back and fix all the bad drawings (and some of the bad animation too) all throughout the serie.
Unfortunately it will never happen. They didn't even bother with the blu-rays except for 2 episodes. If all the bad episodes got episode 5 treatment it would have been awesome.

Other than weekly jump and Toei/Fuji Tv website previews, probably not.
About 2 weeks to the next monthly tv guide, but we already got provisional titles for eps up to 101, so it may not reveal anything new.

Yeah likely just more info on those provisional titled episodes. I'm interested in hearing more about that Krillin episode.

I remember when Super was announced people were saying it wouldn't go past the Champa arc yet we're over 100 episodes in with no signs of it stopping. We've come a long way since 2015. I can't wait to see weather or not it'll surpass Z's 291 episodes.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I'm most interested hearing about what's up with episode 98. 99 is about Krillin, 100 seems to be able Kale and 101 seems to be about a Pride Trooper, either Jiren or Toppo, but 98's provisional title does really give us much to go on.

At the very least I think it's going to pass DB's 153 and Kai's 167. It'll pass Kai 1.0's 98 real soon.

I see it going past 200 episodes easily. If they are taking 6-7 months to get into the meat of the Universe Survival arc, and they are milking as much revenue as possible, why would anything in future arcs be vastly different in regards to pacing? Toei's big guns One Piece and Super are bringing in the dough, why stop? Even if Toriyama retires, I can easily see Toyotaro who is a skilled, creative young man being given more responsibilities in regards to the anime in addition to his work on the manga.

When it comes to exceeding Dragonball Z's number of episodes, I don't know about that yet. That's looking into around 2020 or 2021 or something like that if they don't take a long break. Anything can happen between now and then that I wouldn't make that same prediction.

The dark tone, the setting, the MUSIC! Sumitomo was definitely at his best in that arc. So i wonder, did they get a new director? Or is it still the same director?
We got a new director when the Universal Survival arc began; his name's Tatsuya Nagamine.

Morio Hatano was the Zamasu arc director.
Thanks. I would definitely want to have a new arc by him in the future!

Speaking of lenght, Toshio said recently in twitter that he couldn't talk about future arcs, obviously, but revealed that he's still writing for Super.
So, considering production timeframes, we can add at the very least two more cours to it, reaching 122 or so episodes.

And in the current Arc the Pilaf Gang only appeared for a total of 1 min of screen time(and they barely talked), what a difference compared to the Trunks Arc.

I remember they fixed the Arale episode, that tells you pretty much what are Toei priorities.

Yeah I noticed that months ago when collecting Rosé Black and SSGSS Shots, Rosé unfortunately never looked as good since it's debut episodes (With the exception of Shida's #57 cut of course). #47, 56, 57,61,65 & 66 were definitely the best looking episodes in terms of constancy throughout.

Definitely a con in this arc. I miss their antics.
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

Honestly 57, 61 and 65 were much less consistent art wise than the average episode this arc.

I think when they started this arc they approached it like a do over on Super. New intro, better animation, longer arc like in Z, etc. Essentially starting the show over in a way. I am betting we get to at least 200 episodes.

TheMikado wrote:So hears a legitimate question. Does Goku essentially canonizing the filler yadrats from the anime give more credence to the idea that Super is a continuity of the anime and not the manga? Because more and more evidence is certainly building. We had pages of how that wouldn't be the case, yet it happened, we also stand a small chance of canonizing Broly too if he gets a mention, what will that mean for the Super continuity?
There's no such thing as "canonizing" as Super is not canon to begin with. This series has no issues in referencing/using filler material from the past series. People often says it's animated sequel to Kai, but I think it's from Z.

It would be a fight but not as easy as you think, because Vegeta cant do this:
Image
If Goku felt the needed to use even his base level use of the ability to fight a serious Toppo, Vegeta had better have his own new trick up his sleeve if he wants to beat the 2nd Strongest Pride Trooper.
Well, apparently Vegeta couldn't do that either and yet he did after spending some hours training in the RoSaT. I won't be surprised if Super came out with another BS power-up that would put him above Toppo.

The power of love is the best power up for Vegeta, it suits him well enough, either that or friendship..

Remember how naked vegeta appeared in Goku's mind back in namek?
It's bulma's turn now to give Vegeta a similar visit.. ( or bra if you wanna get real kinky )
That should give him the necessary push
