There is potential comedy relief in there, you could add Old Kaioshin hi5ing Roshi for getting to tap one of the female fighters, heh.

10 - Freeza
9 - Goku
8 - Vegeta
7 - Gohan

5 - #17
4- #18
3- Krillin
2 - Tien
1 - Roshi

I think the universe's survival will be up to Freeza and that way he can get some kind of deal out of everyone.

He already does have a deal, them agreeing to even more isn't seemingly likely

The new ending with Goku and Gohan fighting side by side heavily implies something big is planned for Gohan. I know the endings don't always directly mean anything, but it really does seem like Gohan is going to make it to the end of the tournament and might even be the last one standing.

Why not ? it's either that or he gives up the match and goes to the winning universe. If he's the last one he can tell Vegeta to dance wearing a dress and everyone will go with it.

The first ending and even opening heavily focuses on those 2 and Goten yet they did nothing so I wouldn't go on that. The problem with Super is they hype up characters only to do nothing with them while they deliver with others like Vegeta and Trunks so there's no way to know until we get there.

But that was just a general ending to start Super so of course they would use Goku's family for the ending because super at the start was probably the most family friendly that the franchise has ever been while these last two endings have been blatantly showing related stuff about the tournament from Buu sleeping, the mist around Goku and Ultimate Gohan return in Boogie Back and now with a heavier focus on Gohan in what should be the ending we will have until the end of the tournament.

I hope you're right but the way they handled Buu and Piccolo makes me keep my expectations down cause I don't want to get too excited only for him to take a back seat to Goku and Vegeta.

I'm not getting hopes up. I'm already really happy that they don't have to pull out a shitty excuse to keep Gohan away from the plot. Vegeta honestly right now is the guy I have most doubts about. I could see him being one of the first to get ringed out for the shock factor as well as I can see him being one of the last four from U7 with lots of important fights early on.

If he does abandon his team he dosen't get a revival.. that's the deal..
He isn't going to believe another universe will just revive him themselves if he helps them, he didn't even trust uni 7 to do it when he knows Goku keeps his word..

A minor nitpick but he already has his name in the god pad set in universe 7 team..

It can theoretically happen, but the chances of it actually happening are next to zero..

My bet:
1. Tien
2. #18
3. Mutenroshi
4. Piccolo
5. Krillin
6. #17
7. Freeza
8. Vegeta
9. Goku
10. Gohan
If I were a guessing girl...

Tien and 18 will be the first two, I think. Tien hasn't gotten much attention at all this arc, and having Krillin's power in Episode 99 come from 18 being out is easy motivation.
I think Roshi will last longer than Tien and 18 because of the gag potential with female fighters, but not much longer than this.
Krillin would be next, based purely on strength.
Between Frieza, 17 and Piccolo, I'm not completely sure. Piccolo has gotten the least amount of attention of the three, and I'm not ruling out the possibility of him falling off to save Gohan. Frieza will be doing some shady stuff with Frost, who's not exactly reliable, so he's playing an unpredictable game. 17's power may have been overhyped in the recruitment episodes, as some Twitter posting could hint at.
Vegeta will definitely lose before Goku, maybe even to Jiren himself (classic Vegeta). Gohan may not be eliminated at all, but I'm certain he'll be one of the last ones if he is.
Goku will probably not be eliminated at all. If he is, it'll be at the end.

So here's my two slightly different guesses:
Tien - 18 - Roshi - Krillin - Piccolo - 17 - Frieza - Vegeta - Gohan; Goku wins
Tien - 18 - Roshi - Krillin - Piccolo - 17 - Frieza - Vegeta; Gohan and Goku win, Goku x Gohan = Limit Break x Survivor

Overall my prediction though I wouldn't have Goku or Gohan there as I feel it's a good chance that whether U7 wins or loses both will go the distance and I honestly think 18 and Ten could go either way.
Nero<>Akira wrote:Good & Hype ep. next ep looks like it will be even better. the use of opening animation is honestly good considering it has some of the best in dragon ball regarding openings or in ep content. gives me more indication that they may use Goku vs Jiren footage from the opening. there is no way you just can't use that.
I'd love it if they use part of their fight from the opening, especially since it might mean the rules will be lifted at some point since most of Goku and Jiren's battle in the opening featured them flying.

This sounds about right to me, but I feel like all the ones between Roshi and Gohan could go in any order honestly.

Vegeta has proven time and again that he can last to the end and pull off tough tasks but like you, at first I'm never that sure of what he'll do (it could be because he's my favorite so the bar is really high for him to preform). Everything he's done so far has faaaaar surpassed my expectations so I'm confident that it'll happen again this arc and the ones after it.

1 = #18
2 = Tien
3 = Roshi
4 = Piccolo
5 = #17
6 = Krillin
7 = Goku
8/9 = Freeza/Vegeta

Gohan is the last man standing

I got this crazy idea after watching the ending having Gohan as one of the protagonists, I don´t think it will happen, but it sounds awesome, at some point of the tournament, Universe 7 will have Goku, Vegeta, Freeza and Gohan as his last fighters, Universe 11 will have Toppo, Jiren and Dypso and Universe 6 will have Kale.

The matchups may go like this:
Goku vs Jiren
Gohan vs Dypso
Freeza vs Toppo
Vegeta vs Kale

After Kale, Dypso and Toppo get defeated, Freeza betrays Universe 7 and takes Goku out of the fight, greatly severing the Universe 7 chances, Vegeta gets mad and fights Freeza (It was heavily hinted that Vegeta wants to fight Freeza) the fight ends with Vegeta sacrificing himself to beat Freeza and leaving Gohan as the last hope of Universe 7, while not becoming stronger than Jiren he manages to outsmart him and wins the fight.

Yeah he would normally be pervy out the gate but he was super serious here when he said it. I actually believe he have some development here, fingers crossed it stays like this.

I'm predicting that they're gonna get into a situation where they'll need Roshi to be pervy, and the whole episode is trying to undo all that training :D

Why do you assume he can even switch teams mid toirnament? You realize Lebron James cant just switch teams in the NBA Finals...or any other player/team analogy of any competition ever.

Its really a toss between Goku and Gohan, like others say I'm not getting the Cell games vibe from Goku, unlike then Goku started all this because its him wanting a challenge, that being said I also dont see Goku wanting to be the last man standing, just break his limits reach new heights he can still be the most powerful warrior in that arena even if he isnt the last man standing.

Anyone notice the symbols on the God Pad for each Universe? I think they look interesting and could be clues for the characters origins.
