Exactly.
We can even see Vegeta vs Freeza, if we are lucky enough. Just think what happens when Vegeta goes full rage on Freeza and Freeza says Beerus told me to destroy Vegeta before freeza falls off the stage.

Would be interesting if they made it a plot point in a future arc.

I think a good way to break the tournament up while also keeping it from taking an eternity would be to have a series of ten 8-fighter battle royals.

The ten winners could then move on to the final round: another battle royal. Only this time, Universes can double dip and more depending on how well they did in the prior rounds.
