It may be a generic choice, but Freeza's definitely the best candidate for a God Of Destruction, he just destroys, and destroys with no care in the world. And well, with Freeza as the hypothetical God of Destruction for Universe 7 I'd say that Goku is now the best option to be the God of Creation, they'd fiercely compete against one and the other to see who's the best God.

I was going to say Frieza for God of Destruction, but the idea of the role is to maintain balance. That's not something Frieza would do. Possibly Piccolo? He's got a good understanding of general balance, and is pretty handy at blowing at least moons up.

On a far weaker scale, Roshi and Shen would make good counterpart gods.

I thought the same thing. Freeza COULD be a GoD but he wouldn't be able to maintain balance (he'd just destroy anything he doesnt like or for the fun of it) and would probably end up with a universe lower than uni 9's level. I think an amazing duo would be what you described. Piccolo as the Hakaishin and Dende as a Kaioshin would be great!

If not Dende then I would have chosen Android 16 as well if he were alive as well.

Reasoning: Sincere, committed, has experience with conceiving new life and things

God of Destruction: Akkuman
Reasoning: Of all the proposed options, Akkuman seems to be the least likely to turncoat in the interest of their own selfish aims. Destruction would be the perfect vocation for someone of his background. He's familiar with being in the employ of others. The only questionable mark on his resume is the fact he violated Baba's directive not to use the Devilmite Beam against Goku. But then it's not like Beerus has acted like much of a "by the books" bureaucrat of the gods, has he?

God of Destruction: Pure Boo. It's like he had already taken the role during Beerus' sleep. His hibernation cycles would serve to restore balance.
God of Creation: Gohan, since he has suited up like a Kaioshin before, cares about life and likes to groom his mind to know what is right or wrong.

God of Creation: Android 16 since he has a love for life and nature and cares for all of it.

I really just can't think of someone better. Goku definitely shouldn't be either, since he didn't even want to be Kami of Earth. He isn't the kind of guy who'd willingly take that kind of responsibility. Same for 17, Gohan and Vegeta (and most of the suggestions y'all have made) who have settled down and would rather not take the helm if it isn't a dire situation. Guys like Piccolo would be willing to take on the job and would also consider balance, rather than destroying whatever they don't like. Guys like Goku might also be too "soft" for the job.

Kibito has too much bias against Ningen, so I dunno how to feel about that. Cell actually wanted to destroy everything after he killed Goku and co., I doubt he'd think about balance and all that stuff as an actual Hakaishin. In fact, I don't think any of the villains would be good Hakaishin.

I pick Cell because I remember one of his episodes was named "Infinite attack power! A God of Destruction called Cell is born". I think it would be interesting to see him be a God of Destruction.

Cell wasn't interested in destroying a planet in one shot, he was interested in slowly killing every last man, and women on Earth watching their screaming faces in terror. Actually, now that I think about it isn't Geene such a good God of Destruction because he just destroys without a care in the world? (Could be wrong)

-God of creation: Dende, as he is able to use some magic and is a young namekian who is still learning the role of a god of Earth, which he is doing a decent job of.
-God of destruction: Vegeta, as he had long left his evil ways behind and is very nonsense about issues for the most part. He doesn't develop emotional attachments to anything out of the blue.

Vegeta likes his family and likes to fight Goku, so I can't see him becoming a GoD. Otherwise he will live life as a GoD and seeing his love ones die of old age. With someone like Freeza, he could careless about anyone else.
