Goku`s face looks serious after long time, maybe first time in Super.

No, it's not the first time. Goku's had a serious face in a lot of episodes. The only arc I remember him not showing a serious face in was the Universe 6 tournament.

Especially in the Black arc when Zamasu told Goku that his wife and Goten were killed.

How we could interpret it.

Krillin uses 3 Kienzan on Gyum, but its useless and Gyum eliminates him.

Kale goes LSSJ and attacks Goku, while being blinded in rage, she eliminates several fighters, but once she encounters Jiren, she gets rekt.

Both can be true. Krillin used 3 side kienzan before going down. Goku tries to each Cauli to go Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, Kale goes berserk and wipe out some people, Jiren stops her.

Especially in the Black arc when Zamasu told Goku that his wife and Goten were killed.

Before then, he was pissed at Freeza killing Piccolo and hurting Gohan to the point that he says he despised him and felt no joy fighting him. He was also mad at Beerus for targeting the Earth during their battle.

So that's confirmation that Universe 9 bites the dust first. I really hope it's not a scenario where Goku singlehandedly does it himself and eliminates all members of Universe 9. That would be pretty anticlimactic and go against the whole "teamwork" approach of this arc.

It really sucks that Krillin is first member of Universe 7 to get eliminated. I'd though with how much love the writers have been giving him in extensional episodes that he'd be on the last contestants remaining. Oh well.

I'm also 110% sure that Caulifla is not going to become a SSJB, as how would Goku even find the time to teach her in the middle of a tournament that lasts only 48 minutes? And why would Goku be dumb enough to teach an opponent how to get stronger in middle of universal level high-stakes event? It's just a red herring thrown in for the sake of the narrative having an excuse for Kale to go Berserker Saiyan on everyone and have her "moment".

Pretty much. He will train someone to get stronger in the middle of a fight if means a better and fight and Goku has a soft spot for talent. This is part of the reason he keeps sparing Freeza despite his better judgment.

That would be so fucking stupid and I would deeply resent Super if they went in that direction with Goku's characterization. Focus on winning the tournament and saving your universe rather than aiding your opponents in getting stronger. You have 48 minutes, for fucks sake. This is so not the time to be training people. That is the sort of shit I would expect Cell arc Goku to do.

He wouldn't like fighting Cali outside of her very best. And why do you think Cell Saga Goku is different than Universal Survival Saga Goku?

People overreacting have gone from Caulifla to now this it's a Goku and Vegeta arc, despite the fact we HAVE NOT seen the episodes and based off of couple sentences in summary all of a sudden people know what's gonna happen. They've foreseen the entire arc. Hilarious.

Scenes when that happens and you'll be here trying to justify this horrible writing and clutching at straws.

We don't know the the scenario yet, it looks like Caulifla will show off SS to him and convince him to train here and before Goku has a chance to do anything Kale goes off, my prediction.

People here seem to not like Goku acting selfish while I'm having the time of my life watching him like that, dont get me wrong he should be concerned for their safety and his family but I love the fact that he falls to his selfish desires more than being heroic and trying to save everyone acting serious. Its the main reason why I enjoyed Toyo's version of Goku and Vegeta taking turns in fighting Merged Zamasu, and now I'm loving what the anime is doing with him. I am tired watching shonen shows that has the MC on edge wanting to save everyone forgetting their own desires and being a hero.
Bottom line, Goku... keep being you, you selfish awesome bastard you.

Universal Survival Saga Goku hasn't helped anyone get stronger in the middle of battle for shits and giggles when so many lives are at stake. In fact, he hasn't done anything close to giving Cell a senzu, since that moment happened in the Cell arc. Unintentionally putting lives at stake? Yes. He's done that and still does it. But intentionally making the circumstances of a incredibly high-stakes event more dangerous and unpredictable even when he knows the specific circumstances of what is going to or could happen? Yeah, he did that once in Cell arc and never again because even he eventually realized how insanely stupid it was for him to do that. That's why I pray this is a red herring.
