Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Well, now another scenario like Cell is happening, in the sense the that odds are stacked against and he has to rely on pure luck to bail him out. Hell, in this instance, it's even worse because he chances of winning are far lower than they were in the Cell arc because he's fighting against many more people, some of which are bound to be as strong, if not much stronger, than he is. And he has a specific amount of time, which isn't that much, to work with.HeroR wrote:No one asked him to train in the middle a battle either. If they did, he probably would have done it. And again, he wants this tournament to fight strong people. He said this several times. Cali can get stronger if she gets Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan and she asked to be train, so Goku says sure. Nothing out of character. Also, the reason why another 'Cell' didn't happen isn't because Goku learned his lesson. It's because another situation like Cell hasn't happened.Lord Beerus wrote: He hasn't helped anyone get stronger in the middle of battle for shits and giggles when so many lives are at stake. In fact, he hasn't done anything close to giving Cell a senzu, since that moment happened in the Cell arc. Unintentionally putting lives at stake? Yes. He's done that and still does it. But intentionally making the circumstances of a incredibly high-stakes event more dangerous and unpredictable even when he knows the specific circumstances of what is going or could happen? Yeah, he did that once in Cell arc and never again because even he eventually realized how insanely stupid it was for him to do that. That's why I pray this is a red herring.

I'm quite surpirsed as well ! wouldn't be surprised if Brianne gets knocked out next episode too ! it's now super unpredictible which kinda nice and scary at the same time. also Vegeta was never safe from the start.SansrivaaL wrote:Hype has nothing to do anymore eh... Fem Broly gets taken out so fast despite the hype she recieved, in the OP, in the magazine to the point of mentioning ''watch out for these 3 characters'' this is bad... I feel like Gohan,17,Freeza and Vegeta can be taken out at anytime now. Literally the only safe ones are Goku and Jiren.

Yes, from the looks of it Krillin would accidentally kill someone. Guess they had to show someone getting killed if they repeated this rule twice.Zamasu55 wrote:So Krillin is disqualified, not thrown out? Does that mean the Kienzan will finally kill someone?

By why Kuririn? Even when he wins, he still loses.DBS916 wrote:Yes, from the looks of it Krillin would accidentally kill someone. Tell me about it. Super even had episodes where he found his fighting spirit and became a martial artists again. Better to go down swinging, then killing your opponent in my opinion.Totamo wrote:By why Kuririn? It doesn't say that Kale is eliminated, so I wonder if Jiren simply knocks her unconscious and then she'll get her skinnier transformation a bit later.
I'm legit surprised that Tenshinhan isn't the first one from U7 to get knocked off of the team.

Krillin being disqualified by the rules people said would make him viable would be sweet. What a tactical genius.

So Krillin got disqualified? Was it being for too awesome? Because I can dig that.
It also pretty much confirms my worst fears... Universe 9 are full of jabronies considering Goku wipes the deck with all of them and eliminates Universe 9 on his own. Ugh. So damn anticlimactic.

Ken Xyro's translation doesn't say anything about disqualification, so there's a chance Krillin will get eliminated in a different way. One thing for sure, he's done.DBS916 wrote:Tell me about it. Gowasu's number 1 fan.

It's cool that Kuririn actually nails someone with the Kienzan like it was intended to do...but him getting DQ'd over it is a popcorn fart to his arc that they've been building up during the course of Super. It's going to ride on the execution of course...but on paper it doesn't sound great.

Krillin is happy, his move finally did what it was made to do, it's been so long he forgot it could kill

We don't know if it's a DQ or actually getting kicked off the stage.TheBigBoy wrote:It's cool that Kuririn actually nails someone with the Kienzan like it was intended to do...but him getting DQ'd over it is a popcorn fart to his arc that they've been building up during the course of Super. Copy that.
In canon, does the Kienzan still cut through anything? There's lots of scenes in the anime of guys blocking or catching Kienzans but those are all anime filler I think...

With Kale being defeated, it could serve for Caulifla to unlock an imperfect version of blue like how SSJ Ikari was for Trunks.
Remember that Cauli never unlocked SSJ due to getting mad, she might also get something similar like that rage boost Vegeta got in BoG

Because it's what everyone was expecting haha. That's why he's getting knocked out. Nobody wants to watch a show that's very predictableDBS916 wrote:Tell me about it. How i predict the tournament will end:

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
So we're not getting that Gohan redeems himself against Lavendar...really? It was teased, and Goku just takes them all? That's lame. Just one good story thread thrown out the window. Typical of Super. Krillin going out also gets to me. Why him? He had proper build up on how different kind of fighting is important to the tournament, by outsmarting Gohan, and then he just loses first? I'm getting the feeling all these "Lessons" are bullshit. So just like the rest of the "Lessons" they say are important but are never followed or followed up on.
I rage at the thought of Cauliflower going Blue, but I hold my contempt unless she does it. The only plus side to it, is learning more about Blue which DESPERATELY needed fleshing out anyways.
Crap it really is feeling true that the filler material is actually better than the meat of the arcs.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I legit want the scenario of Krillin killing someone with the Kienzan result in him begin disqualified to happen. But's such a double edge sword. He actually finally manages to kill someone with that damn move that has poor track record in combat but it comes at the worst time possible and it kinda makes Krillin look like an idiot for using a technique like that in a tournament where killing your opponent results in you begin disqualified. He should no better. I mean, there's no guarantee that the Kienzan can kill any person it's used on, but it's still a dangerous technique to use in the context of Tournament Of Power.
