Someone like Krillin accidentally killing someone because 18 gets endangered? Fuck yeah, that sounds awesome! They better do that moment justice. Hell, I imagined a situation where somone iin Uni 7 accidentally killed someone. Though I was predicting it was gonna be Goku accidentally killing Toppo (Like to avoid a really fast hit, Goku's body instinctively punches Toppo in the head so hard he snaps his neck), but staying in because of Zeno's favouritism.
Also, more nudges of Goku into the teaching role! I am enjoying this small development to Goku training Uub

In canon, does the Kienzan still cut through anything? There's lots of scenes in the anime of guys blocking or catching Kienzans but those are all anime filler I think...
In Canon, it cut everything it touched..
No one ever blocked that attack even when they were many times stronger..
We can comfortably say it has never been blocked so it can go any way they want it too, as of now there hasn't been anything it can't cut when touched

The Kienzan has never been stated to "cut through anything", but every time it's been caught or tanked is definately anime filler.

This could also play into why toppo thinks U7 is evil. The only universe to "accidentally" kill someone on top of having someone like Frieza on their team.
If I was a hero, I guess I'd question U7s moral values as well haha

I was thinking this too - were Kuririn going to be DQ'd, this would be the best way to go about it. #18 is getting walloped and Kuririn instinctively throws a Kienzan to protect her. He gets DQ'd then we get to see #18 go on a rampage! That's how I would write it anyway...

Yeah, U7 is going to get a lot of hate. We have Goku being responsible of U9 being erased, Krilin killing somebody and Freeza being himself. They are really the bad guys in the eyes of everyone else. Like it wasn't enough with Goku's show in the exhibition matches.
I hope Krilin saves 18 at least, the leaks seem to point that. It should be something important that makes him act without thinking much on the consecuences.

Crazy thought. What if the person fighting 18 had no intention on letting her live? Like he actually wanted to kill her? Or maybe even beating her in a way that happened to Videl.
I doubt they'd go that far, but I'd like to think that something was about to happen to his wife aside from being ringed out that would warrant a kill over a knock out move.
Totamo wrote:
By why Kuririn? Even when he wins, he still loses.
Tell me about it. Super even had episodes where he found his fighting spirit and became a martial artists again. Better to go down swinging, then killing your opponent in my opinion.
Ken Xyro's translation doesn't say anything about disqualification, so there's a chance Krillin will get eliminated in a different way. One thing for sure, he's done.
Ken's trans was wrong, you can even go back into the episode where Frost got DQ'd back in the U6 arc, the referee screamed ''Shikkaku'' when he was found out using a needle.

Yeah, my bad, i edited my previous post.
I hope Caulifla isnt stupid enough to attempt to fight Jiren after taking out Kale.(Could see Goku stopping her).
I for sure thought Kale was going to Berserk because Cauli ringed out. But I wouldn't be surprised if Cauli tries to fight Jiren at this point. Hopefully Goku would've given her a piece of humble pie.
I'm actually hoping while all this is going on, Vegeta and Hit are doing a rematch.
Whoa, wait, Kuririn's disqualification could come from him accidentally killing some guys rather than getting ringed out? That's...unexpected. Depending on how it goes down, that could be pretty cool too.

He had proper build up on how different kind of fighting is important to the tournament, by outsmarting Gohan, and then he just loses first? I'm getting the feeling all these "Lessons" are bullshit. So just like the rest of the "Lessons" they say are important but are never followed or followed up on.
Why does Gohan need to redeem himself against Lavender him? Hi didn't lose. He actually won that fight but lost because of some technical nonsense. If anything, the battle showed that Gohan definitely still hand the wits and determination of a true fighter. Super weren't setting up anything involving Gohan and Lavender specifically since it was basically a throwaway fight and it's never made any personal than that. Unlike Goku's confrontation with Bergamo where he berate Goku and manages to turn all of the Hakaishin and Kaioshin of the universe, excluding those of Universe 7, against him and make him the "villain" for coming up with the tournament, even though doing such a thing guaranteed at least one less universe would be destroyed by Zeno. Goku vs Bergamo was really the only fight in Zen Exhibition Matches that laid down any foundation for an eventual pay off in a later potential rematch. It's made even more apparent with much Bergamo continues to beerate Goku and he himself states he wants Universe 7 to get crushed after their fight is over. I think you're looking a bit too much into the Gohan Lavender fight. That fight served its purpose of showing that Gohan is still a competent fighter.
But I won't lie, Krillin being the first to be eliminated sucks, especially since how much the emphasizes that he's a veteran in Martial Art Tournament styles surroundings and rules. And I really don't like how Goku singlehandedly eliminates all members of Universe 9. It's so anticlimactic and go against the whole "teamwork" approach of this arc. Not to mention it make Universe 9 seem like a universe full of jabronies and jobbers considering Goku wipes the deck with all of them. And if he does it without transforming, that will make it even worse.

1) Goku indirectly caused this mess by suggesting this tournament in the first place, when he sees U9 getting destroyed he better show hints of guilt.
2) He lied to several of his friends about the prize money, not realizing the consequences of his actions. He could have easily told them what happens if they lose, that should have been more than enough incentive for them to enter. You would think after everything his friends and himsef have been through together he would have better judgement.
3) Goku seems to be buying the concept of teamwork that the writers were throwing our way during the recruitment episodes. He makes Gohan captain, yet he's the first guy to run and ditch his own son's plans as soon as the mayhem begins. What was the point of making your son captain if you're going to ignore him the second you get a chance? So damn selfish and only thinks for himself.
4) Now teaching Caulifla how to unlock SS Blue? Really? During the competition when you've already seen U9 getting destroyed? Man, I know it's in his character to do this because he wants a good fight but talk about craziness. Helping an opponent getting stronger when it should be the opposite.
i'll always have a soft spot for the guy, but man he really pisses me off.

I disagree. They teased it with them meeting in the teamworklolz moment, and Gohan was upset where his rustiness left him. I wasn't expecting a whole episode dedicated to it as it's not that important, but just a small moment that's quick. Also the thing with Goku and Bergamo is, Goku doesn't care....at all. So there's nothing to gain from it. It doesn't bother him.
Universe 10 is a universe of Jobbers, and really so was Universe 9. I woulda like Goku to take Bergamo, Gohan to take Lavender, and Krillin to do the image training match we saw but make it real with Basil.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
The funny bit is that if Krillin kills someone they might not even be out of the tournament... They could just stand up and continue fighting, with a halo like Frieza. And Krillin would be disqualified anyway.

For all we know Goku doesnt know how to teach her and just goes on telling her
Goku: Can you transform into a SSJ?
Cauli: Yes. Now what? now what? whats next?
Goku: Now form a circle with you and 5 of your friends who has a pure heart or ask Vegeta.
Cauli: ....What?

I don't like Goku taking an entire team, I expected some teamwork, at least others contributing. Also, in the moment of taking out the last member of a team, I thought the good guys would at least hesitate, then Freeza would show up and gladly finish the job. It's true the only way to save theirs is by doing that, but... Well, we'll see, the leaks highly suggest Goku will take all of l them out, but they don't confirm it, it says he fights them.
