I'm so glad Yamcha didn't come along for this very reason. They would have made him job... I really didn't understand why we got all the Krillin development, and to top it off the monologue about how Gohan is inexperienced and doesn't know how to fight in a tournament style fight because he has only fought to kill/for his life. Yet Krillin is the first one out and he's using his most dangerous attack in a tournament to boot. I think the leak even said his powered up multiple ones..! Krillin was never that reckless that I can remember.

We already knew U9 was going to be wiped out, and I think it's a good idea to show as soon as possible the consecuences of loosing in the ToP.

About Krillin..well, I expected for him to last longer, and maybe team up with his wife (and his brother-in-law). Him being disqualified by killing someone could be cool. He's used to be outmatched even when he is going full strength, so it's believable that he could miscalculate the effect of his attack. If he has a cool fight and does something helpful, like saving C18 (which is a more valuable member for the team), then I'm ok with it.

That's exactly the point of making Gohan the captain.

4) Now teaching Caulifla how to unlock SS Blue? Really?

The spoilers say: Caulifla wants to unlock Blue. No where does it say Goku is teaching her or anything about his reaction.

I stand corrected on the spoiler about Caulifla wanting to unlock Blue and not mentioning Goku anywhere. It's just we had so much info with people saying different things lol.

I hope it doesn't end up the way I mentioned though.

I would change your last 3 lines with:

Goku: Now think of the worst memories you had in your life, try to remember them.

I disagree. They teased it with them meeting in the teamworklolz moment, and Gohan was upset where his rustiness left him. I wasn't expecting a whole episode dedicated to it as it's not that important, but just a small moment that's quick. Also the thing with Goku and Bergamo is, Goku doesn't care....at all. So there's nothing to gain from it. It doesn't bother him.

I really don't believe they teased anything with Gohan and Lavender. They teased much more with Goku and Bergamo, despite Goku's flippant attitude.

Well, now another scenario like Cell is happening, in the sense the that odds are stacked against and he has to rely on pure luck to bail him out. Hell, in this instance, it's even worse because he chances of winning are far lower than they were in the Cell arc because he's fighting against many more people, some of which are bound to be as strong, if not much stronger, than he is. And he has a specific amount of time, which isn't that much, to work with.

As of this moment, the odds are not really stack against Goku since he took out an entire universe almost by himself.

Some crazy stuff going on though, I didn't expect Kuririn and Kale to go down so fast, and I can't help being a little disappointed. On the bright side at least the Tourney has surprise factors, I guess.

Fem Broly gets taken out so fast despite the hype she recieved, in the OP, in the magazine to the point of mentioning ''watch out for these 3 characters'' this is bad... I feel like Gohan,17,Freeza and Vegeta can be taken out at anytime now. Literally the only safe ones are Goku and Jiren.

This is true. Hype means very little now and I both like that and am scared of that. Goku and Jiren are safe you're right... for now. I'm curious if Jiren demolishes Kale, who will be his next victim.

Now the situation is tien outlasted Krillin, Kale doesn't avenge cauliflowa but the chances of opposite happening is bigger than jiren butt, nobody is giving two shits about team work being useful, Krillin of all people kills in the tournament after having the nerve to lecture Gohan about not having experience

Goku's never annoyed me to this extent before.

1) Goku indirectly caused this mess by suggesting this tournament in the first place, when he sees U9 getting destroyed he better show hints of guilt.

2) He lied to several of his friends about the prize money, not realizing the consequences of his actions. He could have easily told them what happens if they lose, that should have been more than enough incentive for them to enter. You would think after everything his friends and himsef have been through together he would have better judgement.

3) Goku seems to be buying the concept of teamwork that the writers were throwing our way during the recruitment episodes. He makes Gohan captain, yet he's the first guy to run and ditch his own son's plans as soon as the mayhem begins. What was the point of making your son captain if you're going to ignore him the second you get a chance? So damn selfish and only thinks for himself.

4) Now teaching Caulifla how to unlock SS Blue? Really? During the competition when you've already seen U9 getting destroyed? Man, I know it's in his character to do this because he wants a good fight but talk about craziness. Helping an opponent getting stronger when it should be the opposite.

i'll always have a soft spot for the guy, but man he really pisses me off.

1. Zen'o was going to eliminate universes anyway and Goku gave one universe the chance to save itself. U9 had the same chance as everyone else and they blew it.

2. Gohan told him. If it was up to Goku, he would have just told everyone the stalks. So why is Goku getting hammered over this and not Gohan?

3. Gohan is captain to babysit. That was apparent from the jump since Goku wants to fight strong people, not keep an eye on his more weaker teammates.

4. Goku wants to fight people at their best, plain and simple.

That's Super Saiyan God and Goku knows that Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan can be reached just by training since Vegeta did it. Unless you're trying to be funny here.

Him getting shine against Gohan and Goku while be recruited. Even this last ditch hoorah is probably Toeis way of making him relevant. While Akira did not see it that way. Cant wait for the manga to catch up.

The producers were definitely right about subverting expectations...

This is the most painful part.. I don't even like krillin and I feel the fans pain. Like I said, after they had been teasing about Yamcha so much was relieved when they didn't pick him because I was expecting him to be taken out the tournament immediately.

Also looks like theres going to be plenty more keizan discussion. Can we get that thread unlocked before we spawn three new ones this weekend?
