I honestly hope Goku will achieve a simple looking, ultimate God form in the US arc and that it will be the last transformation for him and Vegeta. I want Toriyama to get creative and introduce new ways to power-up Goku and Vegeta.

I would like it if they could only get stronger through improving technique, hard battles, better ki control and concentration.

I would love for transformations to be done with, but it's not going to happen because it sells merch

No they shouldn't get rid of them, like sintzu said they're a major selling point. How much money do you think they've made out of all these transformations?

They do need to handle them better though.

Super Saiyan Blue isn't special anymore. They overused way too much following the Future Trunks saga.

It was used in Baseball, used against the illusions, used against Arale, Hit, Android 17, Krillin, Frieza, Bergamo, Toppo, Gohan and now even this scrub Ninja.

Really of all those uses it should have only been used against Hit, Toppo and Frieza and that's it.

Saiyans have been about transformations since before they were actually saiyans. So I think making more unique transformations or tying them back to their origin is the way to go. Even in the anime when Goku goes SSJ3 they show an ape like form tying it to their most common transformation the Oozaru form. SSG just kinda came out of no where and mucked everything up.

So true. Blue really is the new gold.

SSB is starting to feel how SS1 felt by the end of the Cell saga.

I'm ok being rid of transformations only if all future transformations are going to be in the vein of ssjblue, that is, recolors of the original gold ssj.

That said I am excited for this upcoming yet unnamed transformation because it actually looks different, hair-wise. I really like ssjg because that brought something new appearance-wise to the table. Same with GT's ssj4.

Recolors like blue are the only ones I'm not a fan of.
On hiatus.

For me, that's the biggest sign Blue might be reaching the end of its shelf life and there's something new coming up. When everyone got Super Saiyan and it wasn't enough to beat Cell, Super Saiyan 2 came out. When Goku and Vegeta caught up to Gohan and all three of them had SS2 but it wasn't enough to beat Buu, Goku revealed 3 (and Ultimate Gohan). 3 wasn't enough for Beerus so here came God/Blue. Now a lot of people are closing the gap on Blue and Jiren is being hyped as the foe who can't be beaten by SSB Kaioken.

Even Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken has become overused now, sort of.

Again by the time the Future Trunks saga ended it had only been used against Hit and Merged Zamasu. Since then it's also been used against Bergamo, Toppo and Gohan. It didn't need to be used on Bergamo and Gohan at all.

It does look like they're coming out with a new form, I don't think it's any excuse for them to shoehorn in the current form more though. I just hope they don't make the same mistake yet again.

It'll all be exciting when he does come out with that new form against Jiren but two years from now I don't want to be sick of seeing it.

They don't use these forms appropriately.

They should if they're all going to be so mind numbingly shitty design wise. I wouldn't mind more if they, for the love of God, moved away from just altering hair shape & color and did some other things with them. 4s biggest strength is that it sticks out from the rest.

Seriously, why do a lot of the bad guys like Cell, Freeza and Baby manage to get actual redesigns while for Toriyama, the Saiyan's entire transformation philosophy begins and ends with "How can I fuck with their hair?".

He doesn't even have the excuse of "He's lazy to make it easier to draw!" when he's doing fucking nothing art wise with the new stuff bar a couple of character sketches.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.
