He's sending weird ominous vibes but thats about it. If he turns out to be the bad guy then I guess yay? I've watched/read a lot of fiction stories in Japan that has the angels actually be the bad ones while the devils are actually the not so devilish ones, seems to be a trend, wouldnt be surprised if Toriyama follows it up on his work.

Even if the Grand Priest is evil, he's way too strong for Goku and the others to handle. Wouldn't make sense from a power standpoint.

They are definitely making him look sinister in certain shots with low angles and heavy shadows, but that could be an intentional misdirect. Depends how he acts from here on. I don't think Zeno is evil at all though. He's like Buu: too innocent/dumb to realize the harm he's causing and everyone is too scared to second guess him.

I think he has some grand scheme that involves Jiren and those guys doing his dirty work for him...should they get eliminated, I could see him hijacking the entire tournament to do the job himself, which forces Universes 6 and 7 to band together to stop him.

But U6 or 7 have no chance against him. The GP is stated to be one of the strongest guys in all the multiverses, even Whis can't touch.

Vegito Blue formed Kao Ken times 1000 would still get wrecked. The power scaling would be too much, and giving Goku that much of a power up would literally be too much. Plus, if Goku gets that strong there's no way to improve, since he's reached Mount Everest already. The villains that come afterward would have to rival Zeno to challenge Goku, and that's craziness.

I'm not convinced of any nefarious aims, but I do feel like he's someone whom Goku and the others should not be perceiving as a friend. Daishinkan is, first and foremost, loyal to whatever grand design that makes up the echelon of ascended godhood. Destroying the universes who failed to meet expectations of survival is a just course as everyone was given an equal opportunity to save themselves; that's probably what he's thinking. Many are choosing to cast a weary gaze on him because of his assertiveness and nonchalant reactions to the mass destruction. Personally, I can't say what the universes mean to him since he's likely existed for millions to billions of years with six universes having already been erased in the past.

Should our "heroes" ever find themselves at the edge of Daishinkan's proverbial blade, though, they wouldn't have to necessarily overpower him. Containing or isolating him should be enough. Universe 7 just so happens to have four characters who know the Mafuba. Is there any reason why that technique couldn't be used in a hypothetical falling out with Daishinkan?

Yeah there's nothing that looks at all ominous about the Grand Priest. He even seems rather pleasant and calm. I know people keep pointing to the way he looked at Goku but it felt more like an amusement at the idea that a mortal could be staring the Grand Priest down and also kinda saying yeah a uiniverse was just destroyed what are you going do a about it?

They said the same thing for Whis and Vados for the same reasons,oh and lets not forget how in the Goku vs Hit episode they thought Gohan would rage into ssjb and defeat Hit.

I don't think Daishinkan is Evil, he is just neutral. I also think he is the true Omni-King and created Zeno to replace him, but is waiting until he became more mature to run the universes, and when he feel that zeno is capable of govern the 12 universes he will retire and return to his Angelic Realm.

This final episode told me that like Whis and Vados before him, the Grand Priest is not actually supposed to be evil nor is he ever going to be.
