You're right, probably is opposite. Stoic characters like Jiren and Hit are boring to me. The Pride Troopers and their justice don't do a thing for me. (And yet I like the Ginyu Force's take on sentai so go figure.)
Well to be fair, the Pride Troopers so far are Super Sentai tropes played completely straight. The Ginyu Force were fun because they were a bunch of odd goobers.

Chaos?
Yes! Pure chaos, I want to see one-on-one matches turning to be five-on-one matches, fighters coming out of nowhere together to defeat just one enemy and then backstab themselves after. Do it Toei!
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
I wonder if Krillin's disqualification was in Toriyama's outline, or was it just a footnote reading "By the end of the tournament, DEEZ CHARACTERS ARE OUT"
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

In Z, the characters were so depended on Goku that they couldn't go an episode without mentioning him in some way even by hoping he will arrived, get better, training to get stronger, our last hope, being like him, ect. Goku was wanked to hell in Z, even when he wasn't in the room and everyone else was secondary to him. In fact, this was a major issue Goku had, which is why he didn't want to do anything in the Buu Saga.

The manga is usually a good measure for these things.

I'm curious about that, myself. I guess we won't really know until the manga catches up, though there might be some hints since Toei tends to write Kuririn differently from Toriyama, focusing far more on him as comic relief.

And it'll be quite a few months until the manga reaches the point that would bring up Krillin's disqualification

Jesus christ... you just had to make me remember that didnt you... and yeah Fate fans are fucking scary, especially the VN elitists, people here would get traumatized talking with one of those. Both geniuses yes, as are other characters like Vegeta,Piccolo and Boo but does that mean Vegeta is Goku's prince counterpart? Piccolo as Goku's namekian counterpart? Boo as Goku's pink blob counterpart? Anyways you get my point mate haha, tho it may be ok for you for some reason that I cant understand but for me nothing can justify it.
When was mentioned Piccolo was a genius fighter? I only remember Nail saying he had potential or something like that.
"Genius" in what context? Almost always when someone is addressing another as a "genius", they mean in relation to developmental potential for strength. The only occasion where Piccolo was cited in that manner for his actual intelligence was with Buu when he was scheming to absorb the Namekian and Gotenks. Kami also made a note of Piccolo inheriting his "vast knowledge" before they fused, if that counts.
Fans make a habit of interpreting Piccolo as a more tactically minded fighter primarily through his actions in the Saiyan arc. Most other fighters were eager to just manically charge forth without a second thought given on what their approach should be. Piccolo distinguished himself for holding himself and others back in order to find what he perceived to be the right window for attacking. His intuitiveness when it came to combat typological aptitude like when he came to understand how Nappa excelled in aerial combat also happens to be another duly noted example of Piccolo's intelligence shining through.
The Saiyan arc stood out for its surprising emphasis on teamwork and coordination. You don't see such traits brought to the table all too often afterwards. Fast forward to the later arcs and Piccolo's fighting style doesn't really stand out from the others. Sure -- there's occasions like entrapping #17 with floating Ki projectiles and him feigning defeat in order to glean information out of Cell, but as a whole he doesn't prove himself to be all too much smarter in combat than the likes of Krillin or Goku.

Caulifla at least has a fun personality to watch. She's typical youthful gang leader mixed with universe 7 saiyan character types.
That's probably why I find her so boring. She's little more if at all a generic tomboy. Don't really care about that. None of he U6 Saiyans are all that interesting at the moment. Funny enough i think I have the opposite opinion of you. I'm a lot more hyped for Jiren and am even more invested in him than the U6 Saiyans.

I'm not that excited about the Uni 6 saiyans to be honest. All I want is to see their home planet and have Gokû and Vegeta explore it together, but I can't seem to get that, or rather Toriyama doesn't seem interested in exploring that planet.
I agree with that. It'd be pretty lame if they never visit Planet Salad ever.
How come none of the angels question why there are two versions of Zeno? We never seen it on screen but it probably did happen. But it is something strange why they haven't really explored it.

The Grand Priest said he came from the future in the Zen matches.

Most of my friends at least keep wondering why we have no info on the GP of the future. They think it's because there is only one of him in existence, but I'm not so sure of that.
Caulifla - 'Oh, super saiyan blue!! It's amazing, can you teach it to me?'
Goku - 'Remember when I offered you my hand? What did you do???'
Caulifla - 'Oh, but...'
Goku - 'Too late. You are a bitch and I have enough with my wife.'
She'll get Blue eventually, they wouldn't bring it up in the series if it was never going to happen. Probably won't happen in this tournament but in some later arc. And yeah, that's because all these universes aren't getting erased, at least not permanently, so no way is this Caulifa's last arc.
