I agree. I think none of us would be angry with seeing a Shida cut in that fight, reused or not.
Wow, it's even more impressive that you made that yourself. Do you have the full pic or you just made avatar size?
Your actual one is nice too
Exactly, I'm more worried by the fights in the tournament before the main dish (Goku vs. Jiren), hope they put a good work with those 70 people remaining punching each other lol
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

I don't want the elimination of a whole team by 2 episodes to become an habit. There are many fighters who have potential there.
Nope, I guess it's probably a correction by Yokoyama or Tu.

Interesting tidbit: none of the walk-on characters have had moves designed for them, so Nagamine told the animators they can do whatever they want as long as it looks cool and is well executed.

I wonder how they're naming the attacks then. Are they in the scripts, named during the recording sessions or written into the storyboards?

What the hell is up with Goku's hair in the third image? It looks so off.

Are you asking that because one of 4 screen shots that were just posted was kind of off?
I don't understand why you'd think that based off of what we've been shown.

yeah i don't what logic his mind is telling him, the NEP looked very good and the screens are all good except for one shot which is not even horrible but inferior to the others and especially that this arc has been very consistent looking and beautiful

This makes me wonder if we will ever see those characters again or not in the main story.
Psykomatik wrote:I have to admit I didn't understood the "walk-on characters"... What does it mean?
The characters not designed by Toriyama or Toyo-tarou. The fill-ins that are there to fill the holes in the incredibly stupid plot element of having an eighty contestant battle royal.

Oh, so there are characters not desgined by Toriyama / Toyotaro. First news ahaha.
Thanks for the explanation!
I'm pretty sure this is the right thread to post these scrambled thoughts.
It's strange. I LOVE Tate's work on One Piece emulating the movie 6 but I've been really disappointed in his artowork on Super. obviously it's still animated well but I was expecting more coming from his brilliance on his One Piece episodes.
I'm not a fan of super's art or character design in general(the noses and eye changes are terrible) but Shida has BY FAR been my favorite artist and animator that's worked on DBS. I wish there was some way that he could create new character designs for the series replacing Yamamoro. It'll never happen but a man can dream. Or even just reverting back to Z's style. Super's designs are just so stiff and lack any charm.
Nothing special about this episode. Fighting was serviceable and the art style was good enough throughout.
NEP had nothing interesting going for it either.
