Did they call her a Prodigy? I actually don't remember, I think they just said she has a lot of potential.

That's the word fans have been using to explain how she achieves SSJ states so easily.

The word Prodigy? Weird. Potential, the term the characters used, is explanation enough. However cheap it may be.

Cauli's called a genius, well at least thats what Cabba told her outright when she easily transformed into a SSJ.
Her brother said "she has more potential than me" and we dont exactly know how strong this Renso guy is besides him being a former captain of their squad... and thats about it.

Well, there is that slimer version of Kales form that has been shown in promotional pieces. And people are still expecting that to come into play, So It's not impossible for it to be the same thing at this point in time.

My theory is actually worse. I still maintain that there was actually only supposed to be one female saiyan. That somehow ended being split into two. Probably because somewhere along the line someone wanted to make sure there was both a normal female saiyan and some type of Broly character. In my opinion that's why they look so similar in their hair and general appearance with LSSJ/berserker/SSJ forms.

Vegeta getting SSJ3 doesn't work because Vegeta understands how SSJ forms work, where it's still new to Caulifla. If Vegeta was aiming for SSJ3 it would just make him dumb.

At Vegeta's current power level, wouldn't he just have to power up to transform into 3 ?

Possibly? The only known means I'm aware of that SSJ 3 has been achieved are from, Goku being Super dead and was able to handle more strain, or Gotenks using the power of his magic dance to handle it. If there are any exact requirements (which I kind of doubt there are), it's pretty vague, but I don't think there is any case of someone popping into it for the first time under just regular training or powering up, though that could certainly change if they wanted it to.

Though if Vegeta can just power into it, he has no reason to. SSJ3 has been shown to be a huge hassle that's probably more trouble than it's worth at this point. Kind of a shame since it's my favorite form.

I've always assumed that it was just another Ssj form cause it doesn't have any special Ki that requires special training (like SsjG & SsjB).

In terms of Goku and Gotenks having trouble with it, wouldn't that be a non issue for Goku and even Vegeta because of how strong they are ? I think the reason they had those issues wasn't because of the form itself but because their bodies weren't strong enough to handle it yet. It's like the Kaioken where Goku couldn't use ×4 without it destroying his body but by the time he got to Namek he could use ×20.

True enough. Toriyama did say that SSJ 2 and 3 were just powered up versions of the original SSJ. (If I am remembering an interview correctly). So If Vegeta wanted longer more luscious hair I can totally see him doing it. Or if they just wanted to sell some sick figures. I'd buy.

I'm really curious now whether 18 will indeed fight Frost next episode. The Preview made it seem like they may fight, however I'm now very curious because of another tweet from Toshio. "I also hope for No.18 success. However, it is unknown whether to fight Frost". I still think we may have some sort of sneak attack done to someone by Frost/Freeza, but who knows haha.

Well, if she does we will have the confirmation that she's much stronger than back then.

My theory is that what Gotenks and Goku use isn't actually Super Saiyan 3, it's simply the Super Saiyan 2 version of the Ultra form. The actual Super Saiyan 3? Super Saiyan Rage. Goku never got SSR simply because he only trained with Super Saiyan 3 in a condition (Being dead) where the strain was almost non-existant, and before long he found a form that made working on SS3 pointless (God). All pure head-cannon, of course.

The only 2 forms we know their names for sure are Ssj1 & SsjG. Ssj2 & Ssj3 are just names Goku made up off the top of his head, he even says "I guess you could call this Ssj2". For all we know the the Yellow forms are just Ssj1 which is kind of what Toriyama said "Ssj2 & 3 are just powered up variants of Ssj1".

In the anime and manga the muscled forms and 2 weren't even named, they were just assumed to be Ssj with bigger muscles and Ssj with Gohan's power.
