I expect Krillin to be the focus for at least half the episode..
It should be good!

Pretty sure I spelled that reason out in no uncertain terms. I'll do so again.

- Almost never earns his powers: Went from someone who had slacked off for years and crushed by Frieza's first form to gaining all his lost power back and more, in a mere 2 hours by awakening a form he literally just had to sit on his ass to get.

- It's the same arc we've seen in the cell saga and the buu saga, as I explained in my previous post. He overcame his own fear and doubt three times now. After they keep coming back every time they make him prominent.

Bonus: He's just a bland nice guy. No attitude. No humour.

Are my reasons for hating this character clear enough for you now?

-
All the main characters have gotten power ups that weren't earned. Gohan is as much of a bigger offender of this as Goku is.

Also if you watched the episode where he trained with Piccolo you would know that the reason behind him unlocking his power this time was him letting go of his inner will of having to protect everyone (which was the trigger for most of his rage boosts in the past) and letting himself become more of a warrior, something that never happened before in his character arc.

I expect the breakdown to be :

Half episode: Krllin/18 and Gohan group

2nd half: Goku/Vegeta, Vegeta charging in toward U6 only to be intercepted by Botamo and Magetta.

If Krillin doesn't get at least one win or goes down without doing anything significant, then that's it. It'll taint my view toward the rest of the tournament and I wouldn't get my hopes up for 18, Tenshinhan, Roshi, or Piccolo especially to do anything important either. They'll likely all be treated like fodder.

Only reason i'm excluding Gohan and 17 from this is because they made a big deal out of them returning, so I can see them doing more.

I never had much hope for 18, Tenshinhan, or Piccolo to begin with going into this tournament. I have only a little for 17 and Roshi. I'd want all of them to get their good moments, but being honest, I'm more excited for Goku, Freeza, and Gohan.

I did indeed and I hope that person enjoyed that punch because they are looking at a smack down from 18 or very likely getting sliced up by Krillin.

I do wander if its from someone she's fighting or if someone cheap shotted her?

Well, Frost is there... Might be a cheap shot

Frieza and Frost feel like the Ork gods of the warhammer series, Gork and Mork. One is cunning brutal, the other brutally cunning....basically one hits you when your looking and one hits you while your not. And the best part is you can never tell which is which.

Piccolo and 18 better get a moment of glory too. Piccolo hasn't gone anything in Super, and 18 was said to get a good fight by one of the writers/animators I recall.

18 already has an elimination(same as Freza so far).

Tonight could be also Piccolos first elimination because Roshi is spamming kamehamehas and he was covering Piccolos back iirc.

Toei have been coy with the spoilers actually and the reason why Shin looks so nervous is because U7 lose 5 members today............whilst leading us to believe it's just krillin.

Instead all of the gang who stayed back for team work are getting KO'ed

If Krillin doesn't have a significant moment today, it is obvious the other Earthlings won't have either. I have serious doubts that Piccolo will do anything significant as well. Yeah, Gohan and 17 will do more for sure.

Just because Krillin is DQ'ed doesn't mean he won't have any cool moments following that.

Wishful thinking but I'd love it for a role reversal where Krillin calms Roshi down from the bench as he feels he's in way over his head.

I hope we will see more of the vampire chick from Universe 2, and won't get eliminated off screen like the bunny girl. I love her design.
