Alright episode on the whole. Weak 1st half with decent 2nd half. That NEP was fire though. Really looking forward to next week.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 93
Solid art throughout.
Action in the first have wasn't very good, but Tate's little bit of animation was nice, second half was pretty good. Bank was mainly used for dialogue and reaction shots, so that was cool.
NEP looks pretty good for a Yashima episode, kinda surprised they didn't show beefy Caulifla.

That was a fun one. Bit of a weak first half with a stack of corrections, but that's to be expected of TAP halves at this point. Good to see some contributions from the in-house guys though, so we didn't have a case of everything being blown on the second half.
Higashide and Tu felt like the driving force of that episode, though I'll have to reserve my full judgement until I can get a better look. Running on very little sleep today. Tate's scene seemed super conservative, but perhaps I missed some other contributions.
The highlight was 100% the ping pong bit between Kuririn and #18. Lots of cool stuff in there.

Yep, knew TAP was the first half.
Is Tatsuya Saeki new? I can't find anything online. Two episodes in a row with Ichizō Kobayashi, guess they might be a new regular.

He is not new to DB at all. I guess new to Super though, don't remember on the top of my head.

I found this guy, but with the different spelling I wasn't sure if it was the same person.Sodhi wrote:He is not new to DB at all. I guess new to Super though, don't remember on the top of my head.

Thats how Toei should always do it tbh, it was a smart way to use re-used scenes.ArchedThunder wrote:Solid art throughout.

Most fights in the arc have been: First half(meh) and then it gets better, it was the complete opposite before.

Yuki Osada is new and from Tiger Mask.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 93
I know you were going off Ajay's spelling. However I think just like last week with Ichizō Kobayashi, this is another one of those small errors.ArchedThunder wrote: I found this guy, but with the different spelling I wasn't sure if it was the same person.
Great. Hoping most of them make to Super.ArchedThunder wrote:Yuki Osada is new and from Tiger Mask.

It is really hard to remember without something like Animator's corner being around anymore. I wish it was easier to find credits that Ajay posts every week on a later date.

This is really awesome, the tracking cut is really great.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 93
Alright, we're 3 episodes in and we still have yet to see almost any really solid animation. I understand that they're waiting to pull out their big guns for later but still....3 whole episodes of "meh" animation is a bit disappointing. Especially considering the fact that I don't see this tournament lasting more than like 10-12 episodes. So already a fourth of the entire tournament is guaranteed mediocre looking on the whole. A bit depressing I'd say.
To be clear, I know there have been a few nice cuts, but it's been largely "meh" on the whole.

There's been some nice stuff in every episode.Artorias wrote:Alright, we're 3 episodes in and we still have yet to see almost any really solid animation. I understand that they're waiting to pull out their big guns for later but still....3 whole episodes of "meh" animation is a bit disappointing.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 93
I know, but they are few and far between, and even then I don't think they've been anything too special. I'm not expecting Shida quality or anything but man...a majority of the action is just underwhelming. Almost every fight from the pre-tournament part of the arc was more engaging...which is a problem I'd say.ArchedThunder wrote:There's been some nice stuff in every episode.Artorias wrote:Alright, we're 3 episodes in and we still have yet to see almost any really solid animation. There was two pieces of decent animation this episode that amounted to 35 seconds nor did the art maintain any type consistency. Next week looks like nothing special, I would be lying if I said I wasn't underwhelmed so far.

I want to know who did these shots in the first half.

And next week is Yashima, the NEP looks pretty damn good for one of his episodes.
