Her Luffy has only sounded the way he does since the timeskip, actually. I've watched Enies Lobby again recently and he's a lot higher and less gruff. She's trying to differentiate the voice since he's a 19 year old man, but it doesn't work great (it's tolerable...).

Her Gohan, while obviously a similar voice, doesn't sound all that Luffy though, if you ask me. If anything, it sounds like she's trying to sound like Kate Higgins' Tails or something, minus any joy, due to being Gohan, whose life kinda sucks.

The thing that annoyed me the most about Naldoy was her Arnold Swarzenegger "lawg la yeahahhh" frantic reactions she does. Volmer was just as anoying, with her Bulma having almost the same "le-ahhh" time and time again.

They're both the exact same voice. The only difference is how deep she goes. Her Luffy is only a bit deeper than her Gohan, that's it.

They're both the exact same voice. The only difference is how deep she goes. Her Luffy is only a bit deeper than her Gohan, that's it.

So? Nadolny's goku is just a less raspy version of her gohan. Does that not bother you?

Not really, no. I think the main difference is that Colleen's voice can get very grating on the ears very fast. While I like Colleen's Luffy, I don't like her Gohan. It might also be how her male voice doesn't really work for Gohan, whereas it does, mostly, for Luffy, mostly because it actually sounds age-appropriate. Nadolny, I don't mind as either, really. Mostly because I think her voice actually works, though mostly for boys around Goku's age in Dragon Ball. Colleen's is ok for really young kids, but I don't really care for it for older males. Nadolny's the exact opposite.
If you don't get it, you don't get it. No big deal.

To be fair, you're judging from the earliest parts of the Z dub for Bulma, but then again, either of her English voices work for me.

It's funny, but valley girl tone or not, when she first did the role for Bulma it sounded like she was giving it her all, willing to scream and what not. Most of her Bulma sounds so phoned in half of the time.

Agreed, Nadolny sounded too Raspy and Scratchy and also the Tone was Monotonous compared to Clinkenbeard, even Hendersen and Harmony Gold Dub Goku sounded much better.
Also, I always found Tiffany Volmer's Bulma to be very forced with the Dialogue Delivery and very cheesy at times whereas the Bang Zoom Dub, Tfs Bulma and Monica Rial are much better than Volmer in sounding more smooth and Feminine and definitely not like an Annoying Valley Girl

Even though I'm usually all for criticizing early FUNi performances, please stop including TFS on the list of dubs. It's not only because I dislike the product, it's because it's not DB. It's a DB parody.

Gonna have to agree with this, I don't dislike the tfs parody, but it's just a parody, not a legit version of DB.
