Didn't toriyama say he named it super because the use of the word super a lot previously..

Yeah scratch that..
Or don't take it at face value at least, I read it a long time ago, and the most relevant information related to it I can find is this, and it's not from Toriyama
“I’ve used the word ‘cho’ (super) in so many commercials, games and other media, it is fantastic that the long awaited Dragon Ball Super will finally begin” said Masako Nozawa, Japanese voice actress of Dragon Ball’s Son Goku, Son Gohan and Son Goten.
It might entirely be possible this is the reason he named it super, but it can also not be unless we are fully certain..

If all of you were 10 years old right now, you guys would absolutely love Super.
Actually, that's not true at all...

I've been watching this series since I was 8. I loved dragon ball. I watched it through many times as a child. By the time I was 11 or 12, flaws started to be transparent to me. For example, how in the world was Goku able to fight Pikkon and win when he took out Cell no problem? It's not like he trained and got stronger. At the time I didn't know it wasn't considered canon, but the fact still remains that I noticed inconsistencies. It just didn't bother me as much back then and was able to just enjoy the show regardless.

The problem with super is that now that we are older and had YEARS of rewatching the series over and over, we can point out things that were inconsistent with the original series and how things are run.

The point is, kids can pick up mistakes in Super just like I did. Kids will obsess about a show a remember every little detail. At some point they will start asking questions. Especially if they watch it in collaboration with Z.
How i predict the tournament will end:

This! But for me this is the biggest issue with the show. It doesn't try to be better, it doesn't try to expand its audience like much better shows that were brought back and it doesn't try to do anything new. A huge issue is that they rely to much on nostalgia and imo i think DB would do well with new character rather then over developing old one or creating silly new transformations.
My philosophy is to tell a story worth telling if there is one to be told, DBS is an obvious sellout with not much thought put into it.

I understand the name Super but the show is definitely not super to me. Its Dragonball Sell out.

DB and DBZ were great but they were a product of its time. Super needs to be better and to also not be a product of DBZ's time.

I mean, I'm an "adult" (technically), but I still enjoy Super, both the action and humor. Maybe not the writing at times, but I can look past that. I can still watch the original Dragon Ball and find it funny and enjoyable, but that's just me. Maybe the rest of y'all have outgrown that sort of comedy. I think that's what you mean when you say that DBS is perfect for younger audiences, but if you're in your 20's and still enjoy the cliche action storytelling of DBZ, I would think you'd enjoy that aspect of Super.
