Is Gohan's plan to keep U7 safe and hide until everyone knocks each other out?
Is Gohan's plan to keep U7 safe and hide until everyone knocks each other out?
Anyone have the screencap from the episode? Gohan and the others just hiding behind the pillar not doing anything while everyone else is fighting is oddly hilarious.

It probably is..
They do mention in the spoilers how a certain someone is left alone and has to hold his own until everyone gets back..
Their plan is to conserve energy and wait at the center..

Buying time is the smartest thing to do in this situation. Look at what happened to Krillin who had to go and disobey Beerus' orders.
Just let everyone else knock eachother out aswell as wear themselves down, the less people are left in the end to fight, and the more strength YOU have left to fight back in end! It's ALWAYS best to stall. We're talking about the faith of the universe here, Fuck pride!

I just hope Piccolo especially gets a big fight at some point. You can tell they're saving Gohan, but I don't like the fact that Piccolo has done nothing this entire tournament.
Tenshinhan will probably be treated similarly to Krillin, probably knock out maybe 2 guys before going down himself, and Roshi is the wild card so I'm not too concerned there.

That appears to be the plan. And it's not to bad seeing that's it's working. Just look at what happened to Krillin minute he decided to take on someone by himself. It is weird that people seem to be ignoring them.

It's really odd to me 17 and 18 don't care at all about staying in the group. I can understand Goku and Vegeta, and Freeza just does whatever he wants, but why did the two Androids immediately fly off?Boo Machine wrote:That appears to be the plan. Well they have always been rebels. I bet if Gohan told them to spread out they would stay close by.precita wrote:It's really odd to me 17 and 18 don't care at all about staying in the group. I assumed they would at least stick close to each other, but hey, it looks like we get some of that next episode.

Not hide, but definitely maintain a defensive position until the numbers are reduced to a level they can maintain.
It's a good plan, if the rest of the team wasn't so fighting mad and if everybody else wasn't gunning for them.

It seems like it and I think it's a darn good plan. Don't attack until someone comes and attacks you. And when someone does attack, take them down as a group. I feel like Tien and Roshi should last a while if Gohan is there to protect them.
And think about those who have defected the group: Android 17 & 18 have unlimited energy so there's no real energy issue with having them fight for the entire tournament. And then there's Goku, Vegeta and Frieza who are all God tier and can handle themselves quite well against a majority of the fighters out there. Only dumb Krillin thought he was good enough to step out of the group and he paid the price for it. Krillin served his purpose for the writers by showing what happens when you step out of the group

Next to what everyone has already said, it's the best way to minimise the weaknesses of their group by forming a cohesive unit that's capable of watching out for each other. Energy conservation and protecting their most vulnerable members is the practical option at the moment. The most beneficial aspect of the Saiyans, the cyborgs, and Freeza abandoning their posts is acting as diversions for the now four-man squad.
I wish the group would take their strategy one step further by making themselves less visible to the enemy -- either by camouflaging or barricading themselves. This brings me back to the issue of Piccolo not capitalising on his magical abilities. With this recent episode's inconsistent portrayal of Kachi Katchin's structural integrity, though, maybe a barricade wouldn't be the safest option.

Re: Is Gohan's plan to keep U7 safe and hide until everyone knocks each other out?
Magic is something so underutilized in DB. Maybe because they already estabilished that a sufficient amount of ki is enough to overcome any magical gimmicky out there, so I don't think it would be much use against any credible threat to the group.Lionel wrote:Next to what everyone has already said, it's the best way to minimise the weaknesses of their group by forming a cohesive unit that's capable of watching out for each other. I see what you did there. Quite possibly unintentionally lol. Jiren....is....pissed.GodVegetto91 wrote:Buying time is the smartest thing to do in this situation. Look at what happened to Krillin who had to go and disobey Beerus' orders.

Anyway I've been saying this same thing. There is very limited advantage to scoring a knock out while there is a huge advantage in not being knocked out.

The plan is pretty basic, not to mention the reason it works so far is because everyone is ignoring gohan's group......KingKaash wrote:It seems like it and I think it's a darn good plan. Krillin went out to help a stronger member, his wife i don't see why he would need to pay the price for it,not to mention the reason he got eliminated has nothing to do with leaving gohan....
If anything it shows Gohan's inability as a leader as he did not go to help him while Hit was all over the place helping his teamates.
Re: Is Gohan's plan to keep U7 safe and hide until everyone knocks each other out?
I noticed that. Hitto was fighting his own battles, but he had been keeping tabs on his teammates.Whatever wrote:The plan is pretty basic, not to mention the reason it works so far is because everyone is ignoring gohan's group......KingKaash wrote:It seems like it and I think it's a darn good plan. I heavily disagree and everyone ignoring them is the point in the first place and i do agree there is nothing wrong with krillin helping 18 but he knew the risks and it was overall for the better of the group, gohan cant be at two places at once so he trusted krillin though he ended up geting knocked out in a hypocritical fashion as 18 and 17 pointed out in episode 100. so I think hes doing a fine job as leaderWhatever wrote:The plan is pretty basic, not to mention the reason it works so far is because everyone is ignoring gohan's group......KingKaash wrote:It seems like it and I think it's a darn good plan. Hes literally done nothing but help once for 3 seconds. Roshi the wild card? Lol thought no before this false narrative of him. Hes gone next episode. They wouldn't hype him up if he wasn't.precita wrote:I just hope Piccolo especially gets a big fight at some point. Tenshinhan will probably be treated similarly to Krillin, probably knock out maybe 2 guys before going down himself, and Roshi is the wild card so I'm not too concerned there.
Re: Is Gohan's plan to keep U7 safe and hide until everyone knocks each other out?
Roshi will probably last a really long time just to justify his inclusion in this tournament. He's the weakest member there and had no reason being there over stronger fighters from Earth like Buu, Trunks, etc. so Toriyama probably has something planned for him.
I'd expect Tenshinhan gone long before Roshi.
