Of course they're not, that wouldn't make any sense. As you'e said, they've seen this happen before, they're used to it. As well as it occurring in an entire different universe with different Saiyans. It would be odd for the Universe 7 Saiyans to expect the UNiverse 6 Saiyans to be exactly the same as them.

I feel your pain man. As much as I like Roshi I don't understand why they brought him back from retirement and have him take Yamcha's place. Outside of RoF, Roshi wasn't active as a warrior since Dragonball when he died against King Piccolo. Yamcha was much more recent than that, at least he tried at the Cell games and fired a blast at Cell to distract him along with the others, and he did help protect Goku against the Cell Jr's.

Oh well. Probably Toriyama's preference.

In the Kamehameha scene, was Keeru really damaged from Goku?

After being hit by the Kamehameha and walking through it without taking damage (apparently), Keeru grabs the face of Goku, but soon afterwards, she releases him and breathing out of his body.

After this, Piccolo says that she can not control her own strength.
Keeru was this way because of the Kamehameha, which damaged her to the point that she could not control her strength (even though she did not pretend), or was she just out of control herself?

Yes, the kamehameha DID hurt her, which was why she was running out of breath and let Goku go, she needed to increase her ki to heal herself. If Goku used a 100% Kamehameha he wouldve straight up killed her.

Isn't that what 18 and 17 did? Bypass super saiyan through cybernetics?

And Vegeta calls them out on that!!! Even Goten and Trunks get called out multiple times in universe. Further the androids literally had a plot device of infinite energy and was specifically said to be made accidentally much much stronger than intended. In fact, so much so that they had been locked away.

See how Toriyama actually THOUGHT about and closed multiple plot holes. We aren't getting ANY of that. The new saiyans are strong just because, and no one seems to call them out on it. No one in universe is saying that's not normal. While the audience is left scratching its head. When Videl saw the kids go SSJ he eyes literally bugged out of her head, jaws dropped. Everyone acknowledged the sheer insanity of it all.

Toriyama didn't do that to address plotholes, he did it to make fun of himself because he knew it was dumb.

Pointing out your problems doesn't make it go away, anyway. 18 and 17 shouldn't have been that strong, Goten and Trunks shouldn't have been able to go super saiyan and he knew that. We all knew that, but most of us didn't care if we did, the Cell saga would not have the praise in the west that it has and Goten wouldn't be one of the most popular characters in the series.

I think I've said this before but it does matter in terms of the quality of work. It's a literary device used by competent writers. I'm not saying Toriyama was a Charles Dickens, but he understand conceptually the what constituted decent writing. You can see his stories are fundamentally written from the perspective of the audience, and in particular the audience he is targetting.
It's very similar to how the Harry Potter books progessed in maturity as the the characters themselves as well as the audience matured. There are no plotholes because they are specifically addressed in universe. Toriyama's method of closing a plothole is simply to hone in on the uniqueness and rarity of the situation. I.E. Goten and Trunks being able to go SSJ so young is played in as a gag, but closed in the fact that they are freak occurences both to the audience and the in-universe characters. In this way he also closed the android "plothole" using the BS infinite energy and so strong that they had to be locked away. He BS'ed his way to his end goal, but understood that the journey to that goal had to be relatively understood.

For example, we all get Caulifa is a "genius". This does not need to be explained further such as is it inherited, etc. We can live without it. What we don't get is if SSJ is so easy for saiyans from this universe to just "pop". Why haven't any of them ever done so in thousands of years? Why isn't there even a legend about it???
Universe 7 saiyans were far far less evolved, far less in the way of culture and society. They had been almost completely eliminated, and the requirements for reaching SSJ were much higher for them. The last SSJ was over 1000 years ago and yet somehow, this legend and its culture as passed down. They don't even make an attempt to explain it. Toriyama on the other hand, based on his previous style would have BS'ed this reason. Something to the effect of the gravity on planet salada, or the atmosphere, or the sunlight surpressed saiyans in that universe from transforming. That's really all I'm asking is that Super be written in the "style" of Toriyama and its not. Its not even trying to.

In terms of actual battle, they were both exhausted and it was a draw.
