Assorted weird/cool/butt-ugly Dragon Ball products...

Post by Alias » Mon May 24, 2004 6:46 pm

I was just browsing one of the Japanese online stores when I thought I'd share some of my finds with you guys.

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/bo-ya/506103/509261/#478426 - Adorable set of three inch figures. You can find these on ebay for about $15.

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/bean/446085/52 ... 37/#536049 - This one is soooo cute! It's chibi Goku on the Kintoun with a Dragon Ball and a dreamlike expression.

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/cereza/556844/594294/#626218 - Candy containers of Karin and Buu.

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/amiami/552908/ ... 62/#575062 - An example of some of the new DB art since its revival. Expensive, but really cute. Has Vegeta and Piccolo facing off in the background.

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/amiami/535878/ ... 51/#570768 - A set of mini figures I've never seen before from old DB.

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/toysrus/493275 ... 07/#601659 - Semi-recent sets of mini figs. The one the page is focused on is my favorite, but there's other listed on the same page.

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/bo-ya/504557/505806/#473633 - The ugliest Goku and Vegeta figures I've EVER seen.

I'll add more things as I come across them.

Those last two action figures (the fugly deformed Goku and Vegeta) look like Goku&Vegeta from Taiketsu.

Well, Alias and I both are into DB product collecting, so that's why she's made a similar post.^_^ Those are nice finds Alias! And I agree with you that those last two figures are really ugly! Makes you wonder why that's the only product that's sold out! :?

I know about almost every new DB thing that comes out, since I scan Japanese stores, auctions, websites, etc... 8)

I have no idea why the Goku and Vegeta figures are sold out. Maybe people thought they were so ugly that they had to have them... I'd probably have bought one myself, if only for the sake of painting little bloody fangs on it and calling it "SSJ Chucky."

XD

I think I liked the candy containers of Karin and Buu and the little Goku on the light-up Kinto'un the best. And of course, I've always loved that gashapon of Piccolo with Gohan sleeping against him. ^_^ It's really sweet.

Well, so am I, but I don't think I've made such posts. Of course, maybe it's because I don't have the Homer to buy any of this stuff...

Anywho, I do love these topics, because you see some stuff you never thought existed.

I'd love to collect some of the Japan only toys. Especially the SBC figs and some of the gashapons that I've seen. Also, the new Ultimate Fighter whatever figures I've seen of Goku and Vegeta are very cool looking and I'd love to get them but I seriously lack the funds.

Wonder if someone is having an anime figs garage sale where I can get them cheaper?

I can't afford to buy most of it either, but I still enjoy finding out what kinds of neat products are available. 8)

There's lots of awesome Japan-only toys, only a fraction of which are ever seen on ebay. They're expensive for foreigners only. If you live in Japan, most of the little figures are no more than a few dollars and the card packs are about a buck fifty. It's the importers that jack the prices up far more than what the product's worth.

 CURSE THE IMPORTERS! I want lower prices on my DBZ figs and whatnot!

It was still pretty cool to see this stuff especially the artwork thanks Alias! And those Goku and Vegeta Figures must have been low in stock to begin with if they actually sold out....
