They opted to unnecessarily have more characters learn a technique that was, at one point, integral to their intentions of subduing the immortal Future Zamasu. Can any member of the animation staff or Toyotaro himself explain why they felt it necessary to do this? It would have been easy enough to request Tenshinhan or Piccolo to return back to the future with them so they can seal the enemy away.JulianStyles wrote:Do you have a link to this TV special? Who do you think Tien will take out in the Tournament of Power & how many episodes will he survive?

tien and piccolo are weak, they could die if they could seal zamas and both of them would offer nothing interesting since there fodder to black and zamas,I dont understand how people are blaming Toyotaro and toei for the saiyan show yet there just following the outline and both version have a supporting cast of characters that some user ignore itLionel wrote:They opted to unnecessarily have more characters learn a technique that was, at one point, integral to their intentions of subduing the immortal Future Zamasu. Good point. Guess that would just put them in harms way. Zamasu wasnt really a threat to the current timeline. Remember he could only exist for a moment in current time/universe.
What I dont get. With all these ass pull powerups. How hard is it to have Elder Kai unlock Tien,Krillins, Yamchas potential? How hard is it to have them train in the hyberbolic time chamber? Or Tien and Yamcha who studied under king kai longer than Goku learn Kaio ken?

I think he will beat and knock out (or at least help to do that) the 2 invisible fighters from U4, he was the only one who felt their presence, I also expect him to eliminate a Pride Trooper, working along Roshi or Piccolo, I don´t think he will be quickly beaten, he is sticking with Roshi, Piccolo and Gohan, and they are doing really well, we saw what happened to Krillin when he left the 5 man formation.
Re: Who do you think Tien will take out in the Tournament of Power & how many episodes will he survive?
Comparative power amounts doesn't appear to be a determinant in the Mafuba's effectiveness in sealing the victim away. To the characters, the entertainment value shouldn't even be crossing their thought processes unless they're suicidally ignorant like Goku. If the lack of Dragon Balls is their chief concern then they can always have Kaioshin teleport to Future New Namek and use their Dragon Balls to resurrect the sacrificed character alongside everyone who died to Black and Zamasu. The gr wrote:tien and piccolo are weak, they could die if they could seal zamas and both of them would offer nothing interesting since there fodder to black and zamas,I dont understand how people are blaming Toyotaro and toei for the saiyan show yet there just following the outline and both version have a supporting cast of characters that some user ignore itLionel wrote:They opted to unnecessarily have more characters learn a technique that was, at one point, integral to their intentions of subduing the immortal Future Zamasu. Toyotaro is capable of making recommendations and encouragements to Toriyama. If he wanted it, I don't see why either medium couldn't oblige by trying to incorporate some of the others. We already saw how Toei was capable and willing to take some creative licenses by reincorporating the Kaioken instead of rigidly following Toriyama's outline word for word.

Imagine-Nation -- Fukkatsu no F Special is the name. I couldn't find it on youtube, but, it was explained that the main cast was Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Tenshinhan and Krillin. Roshi was only having a special appearance. I think they could have done something in the Zamasu arc, but, for that they would have to create weaker characters to fight Piccolo and the Earthlings, basically like One Piece does every time. It is simple, but, they don't want to do it.JulianStyles wrote:Do you have a link to this TV special? Or a reference to it? Monaka ruined the U6 arc. Not every threat needs to be a super powerful one guy. Namek they progressed. Piccolo damio had minions. Split up the teams. A threat on Earth but Namek needs help. Or the cant be in two places at once thing. So Goku and Vegeta fight one guy. But to stop his partner's around the globe you have to split the team up.
Re: Who do you think Tien will take out in the Tournament of Power & how many episodes will he survive?
But we know they wouldn't. Goku's IT means he can singlehandedly defeat everyone no matter where they are on the planet.JulianStyles wrote:Not every threat needs to be a super powerful one guy. Thinking back to the Toei movies, the villains henchmen would always pummel the Earthlings with the exception of Piccolo and then Goku/Gohan would wipe them all out at once before fighting their boss.
Turles' movie was a great example where we could have had the Earthlings do well but all lost so Goku could show how amazing he was.
A far better way would have been close fights with the gang just scraping wins and then Turles kicking their butts but alas.

Fwiw It seems like they sort of understood it was a favor to Trunks and noone elses problem.Lionel wrote:They opted to unnecessarily have more characters learn a technique that was, at one point, integral to their intentions of subduing the immortal Future Zamasu. But, in the anime the Earhtlings defeated the Ginyu force, therefore, it is possible to do it if they want.Akyon wrote:But we know they wouldn't. I do not know. But given the participants ... maybe he could win.
