- Frieza was much stronger than Muchirim. I thought he'd be a standout but he was another chump. Was he supposed to be the strongest in Universe 10?

- Android 18 easily beat the guy who could alter his weight.

- Kale can turn back into a regular Super Saiyan as well as the Super Saiyan Berserker form.

- That one Pride Trooper was beating the crap out of Base Caulifla.

- The four Pride Troopers seemed to push back against Super Saiyan (2?) Caulifla and Super Saiyan Kale but then was overwhelmed when she went Berserk form. Wasn't an instant stomp though.

- The fat teletubby was fighting Super Saiyan Vegeta.

I can't remember what else. Goku didn't do very well but they did team up on him and he was caught in the bear grip, which also happened with Nink.
It looked like 17 was getting the shit beaten out of him in the NEP and maaaaybe Piccolo. Someone in purple was getting spun around. Roshi and Tien also beat that bootleg Cell bug guy.
17 got scratches but he looked fine after that.
Piccolo... it's not clear.
It really does look like 17 was getting his ass beat

The sheer amount of proof is by far in favour of Base Goku/Vegeta being far, far stronger than people want them to be. Sorry.

When you consider the fact that conserving energy in this tournament is important and the idea that Goku regularly holds back it's fairly easy to conclude that he wasn't being serious at all. I know a lot of people are clamoring to disprove God Tier Base Saiyans, but its an exercise in futility, there's way too much proof. There aren't two base's either. You need actual proof of that claim.

Yes, he wants to conserve energy by getting the shit kicked out of him. Makes sense.

Eh. I enjoyed the gimmick of the Pride Troopers, but they were nothing spectacular. But you can really tell that it was Jiren and Toppo they have special plans for.

It seems that neither in the recapitulation of the past episode is quoted on the Kale VS Goku fight. Also not shown are they fighting along with some talk of the '' Kale type, which has awakened a power that rivals the SSB ''

No character has spoken about it, and Goku does not even seem to have bothered to see Kale with his controlled Berseker form in front of him.

Kale certainly is not SSB level and neither is at a level capable of being a threat to Goku and Vegeta for example

At this point I agree that the other troopers are fodders. Dyspo didn't look impressive in his debut episode, and I doubt polka dot guy is going to be amazing.

This is just bad writing tbh. The Pride Troopers were built up to be the biggest threat to the U7 team, but only 2 of their members have a good showing and they now have as much members left as U10.

Oh I'm saying their "da strongest be guz", rather that at least they actually show of their powers and it did take a combined attack from a SS2 and a SSB to beat them.

At least their powers stand out a bit better then the U9 lot. Cocotte was by far the best gimmick power and really came in handy....shame she had to act like an idiot.

The same Goku that wasn't bothered by Jiren at all? I wouldn't take what Base Goku's reactions to Kale was seriously unless you're going to argue she's weaker than Base Goku.

Well Super Saiyan Blue's strength has been Yo-Yoing up and down lately.

He overwhelmed Merged Zamasu but then afterward he matched Krillin. He gave Toppo a good fight but then he only matched Android 17 and Ultimate Gohan. He tied with a powered up Golden Frieza but then got stomped by Kale.

So if he can radically alter his strength in Blue form then he can obviously do it in Base form.

It's weird how it's all down but no I don't think there's two bases. The show wouldn't have done something that confusing and then just decided never to explain it.

Seriously, this is just hilarious at this point. I can understand the previous episode because it's been suggested repeatedly in the dialogue that Goku's Blue form varies greatly depending on how much power he puts into the transformation; it also seems to supersede Super Saiyan 3 altogether in terms of Goku's own preferences. There's no such excuse for his base form in this tournament, especially since we saw him going Super Saiyan in order to alleviate the problem with Universe 9 -- he's just consistently either getting outclassed or at least having some difficulty with these fighters whereas characters known for being considerably above base level in DBZ are having no issues at all.

This is all perfectly predictable if we go by previous showings throughout this lengthy arc, yet people still seem to treat it like it's all some huuuuuge coincidence when it's really not. Base Goku simply isn't that strong.

And yet only 1 out of 30(?) KOs have been given from someone not from U7 or U6.

Goku does not know the full power of Jiren. He just knows that Jiren is strong, but not how strong he is. He's excited to know that.

He saw how powerful Kale is in that shape, and being able to focus on his power, would be even more dangerous.
He would at least be worried or think that would be a problem, even if in a comic tone.
But no, it showed no reaction

In fact, I watched the episode back and I have concluded that a good portion of the Troopers, if not all of them are also in the Base-God range.

He was in no immediate danger, but even then, like I said, I concluded that the Troopers were pretty much Base-God tier. Why? Because we know:

Base Cabba = Base Vegeta and we know that Caulifla is comparable to Cabba. So, Base Caulifla also = Base Vegeta/Goku.

Zoiray (the green Pride Trooper) was bombing Caulifla and inflicting genuine damage for a good portion of the episode. Only possible if he was strong enough. Kahseral is naturally stronger than him and 18 didn't look out of place at all.

Conclusion:

18 is Base-God Tier and so are the Troopers.

And why would Goku be woried exactly? It seemed like he could tell Kale was in control of her powers at that point. And that doesn't erase what happened last episode to him either.

Why did they even make this a battle royale if they were only going to let U6 and U7 get eliminations?

If 18 is "base-God" tier, then so is Kuririn, who was keeping up with opponents that could tag and hurt #18 and even managed to trade a Ki blast with her at the same speed and adding strength each time during their team attack; not to mention keeping up with Gohan and Goku during the recruitment episodes.

And if Kuririn is base-God tier, then so are Roshi and Tenshinhan.

Believing that every weakling surpassed SS3 Gotenks in a matter of hours is stupid. It's much more realistic to think they don't care about keeping powerlevels consistent and simply nerfed Goku.
