Now, is it possible for Spike to do something like this with their "Battle Quotes" system? (Replacing the 2D animation with 3D in game models, of course.) Although it can be done, I personally think it's way too much effort for Spike to be doing. I wouldn't mind if they surprise me though, which would be a good thing! :P

The Piccolo Daimao arc makes a lot of sense since there's enough significant characters included in the game, such as Kame Sennin, Tenshinhan, Piccolo Daimao, Tambourine, etc. As for the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, Spike might just shrink it down according to whatever characters they have in their disposal; Tenshinhan vs. Goku, Kuririn vs. Piccolo Jr., then Goku vs. Piccolo. The absence of Shen/Kami and that particular version of Chi-chi makes the whole story arc impossible. I have not seen anything prior to the Piccolo Daimao arc, so I can't express my opinion about the early stories.

Since DNA requested more info on Sonic Sway and Z Counter, here's my translation of what it says about them on the official site:

"Sonic Sway" Dodge your opponent's attacks!
"Sonic Sway" is a technique that enables you to gracefully dodge your opponent's attacks. If your opponent hits you with a smash attack while you are dodging, you will successfully avoid your opponent's attacks! Launch a counterattack while your opponent is off their guard!!

And here's what it says by the pictures:

Continue to dodge your opponent's rush attacks by a hair...
Look for an opening and then counterattack!?

Gracefully avoid attacks with a high speed sway!

"Z Counter" Heated struggles to get behind your opponent!
You can teleport behind your opponent in an instant when you block their melee attacks! However, if your opponent blocks your attack, they will teleport behind you! An exciting series of offensive and defensive maneuvers with which you struggle to get behind your opponent is born!!

And here's what it says by the pictures:

Just before you're about to be hit...
Teleport behind your opponent...
But...
Teleport, teleport, and teleport yet again... DBZ-like battles!

Those videos are amazing. If that was how the gameplay was, then it would truly be "playing the show".

Animation is very pretty, could it be dragonbox?

The videos are awesome if meteor was like them it could be a very complete game, Though doing this for every important battle with spike only having the year to make this game it seems unlikely.

Oh well perhaps sparking UNIVERSE will have it.

Still waiting for "jump splendid stars"

Wow, if BT3 is just like that video than I will love it to death. But Spike doesn't seem that creative.

He was in Wii BT2 so he's in BT3.
Does Cyborg Taopaipai transform from Taopaipai, or is he another character completely?
Probably the same as Cyborg Freeza, seperate character.

Using only the revealed characters so far, and some liberty for some of the battles:

[Pilaf/Goku Saga]
Kid Goku VS Yamcha (Thief Costume) [match 1- interrupted]
Kid Goku VS Yamcha (Thief Costume) [match 2]
Yamcha (Thief Costume) VS Kid Chichi
Kid Goku & Yamcha (Thief Costume) VS Pilaf Machine [A battle against Pilaf's simple robot rather than the trap and glass jail]
Oozaru Goku VS Pilaf Machine
Yamcha (Thief Costume) VS Oozaru Goku

[21st Budokai]
Kid Goku VS Roshi [training] (If there's no Kid Kuririn)
Yamcha (Thief Costume) VS Roshi
Kid Goku VS Namu
Kid Goku VS Roshi
Roshi VS Oozaru Goku
Kid Goku Vs Roshi

[Red Ribbon/Uranai Baba]
Kid Goku VS #8 [I think they'll pull a Path to Power battle: #8 actually fights and defeats Goku, but doesn't want to kill him, so he betrays the Red Ribbon]
Kid Goku VS TaoPaiPai [Goku is defeated]
Kid Goku VS TaoPaiPai [Goku wins]
Yamcha (Thief Costume) VS Akkuman [Yamcha didn't face him, but it could replace his opponents, who surely aren't in the game]
Kid Goku VS Akkuman
Kid Goku VS Grandpa Gohan
Kid Goku VS Pilaf Machine
Kid Goku VS Combined Pilaf Machine

[22nd Budokai]
Kid Goku VS Tenshinhan & Chaozu [Anime-only, Pre-Budokai]
Namu VS Tenshinhan [Anime-only]
Yamcha VS Tenshinhan
Roshi VS Tenshinhan
Kid Goku VS Tenshinhan

[Piccolo Daimao]
Kid Goku VS Tambourine
Kid Goku VS Yajirobe
Namu VS Tambourine
Kid Goku VS Tambourine
Kid Goku & Yajirobe VS Piccolo Daimao
Roshi VS Piccolo Daimao
Tenshinhan VS Piccolo Daimao
Kid Goku VS Piccolo Daimao

[23rd Budokai]

Chaozu VS Cyborg Tao
Tenshinhan VS Cyborg Tao
Kuririn VS Piccolo (early)
Goku (early) [weighted costume] VS Tenshinhan
Goku (early) [weightless costume] VS Tenshinhan
Goku (early) [weightless] VS Piccolo
Goku (early) [weightless] VS Piccolo (capeless)

If they add just a single character, the storyline would become much more complete...

[Kid Kuririn]
-Kid Goku Vs Kid Kuririn (training)
-Kid Kuririn Vs Roshi (21st Budokai)
-Kid Kuririn Vs Grandpa Gohan (Baba)
-Kid Kuririn Vs Chaozu
-Kid Goku Vs Kid Kuririn (22nd Budokai)
-Kid Kuririn Vs Tambourine

Edit: It's only missing a proper final battle for the Red Ribbon arc and Kid Kuririn now...

Neon Z,

They could also add as a flashback, or perhaps even the first fight:
-Oozaru Goku VS Grandpa Gohan
Check out our home made films!

Hm... You've just reminded me... The arena for that battle is in the game (look at the screenshots which revealed Tambourine), however they'd still need to add a costume for Grandpa Gohan without the halo and the mask.

In the unlikely event that Cymbal is an alternate costume for Tamberine, we could also add Yajirobe Vs Tamberine(Cymbal costume) or something of the sort.

And Yamcha ... came... close to fighting Tamberine with a broken leg. A BT1 style timed-match between those two could be made to fit, though... is there anything to suggest they'll be bringing back special tasks like BT1?

Right? The user also used REAL music, not the fully synthesized one used in the Sparking! series, in conjunction with some image songs. Bandai Namco probably wouldn't want people ripping out the music from Sparking! because people would stop buying CDs. But yeah, these videos are fun to watch.

Couldn't you do that in Budokai 3 as well? (Boy, I miss Legends. METEOR better not screw me over, or else I'll be one of the kids looking for blood.)

I just hope that you can teleport more than once without having to equip items. I hated that if you used the default version of a character in Neo that you could only teleport once but the CPU could do it three times if they were a default version of a character. I don't know, it seemed unfair to me. And for some reason the forum's spell checker says that teleport is spelled wrong...go figure I guess.
I don't like podcasts. I find them to be boring. Sue me.

Nice, still kinda hoping for Kid Krillin to make the DB characters seem more complete. If they add Kid Krillin and the GT versions of Goten Trunks and Vegeta, i'd be 100% happy. ^^
