Woof. Those are some fucked up fingers. And his bang looks really weird.
Spoiler:
Akira Toriyama wrote:My policy is to try and forget things once they’re over. Since if I don’t discard the old and focus on what’s new, I’ll overload my brain capacity. I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

???????? Why would he do that ? They use more stamina for less power.
Dramatic effect, of course. Just like how Goku keeps going SSB for seemingly no reason despite generally being stamina conservative otherwise in the fact that he's fighting at base most of the time.
Usually it's used as a way to show that you're not going all out and using the lesser transformations = using less power.
Blue is supposed to use more stamina though. It's more efficient but not less draining.
Ultimate flat out makes SSJ and SSJ2 obsolete.
Yes, that's my point. Blue is supposed to use more stamina yet Goku keeps transforming into it for dramatic effect. I was applying that same line of logic to Gohan.
You're absolutely right about Ultimate making a lot more sense, I was simply saying I was surprised that given the writer's previous nonsensical logic of making Goku transform into SSB over and over again and ignoring how much stamina that takes up, that they'd do something equally nonsensical and make Gohan go SSJ/SSJ2 for dramatic effect while conveniently ignoring the stamina drain aspect like they've already done with Goku and SSB.
It's weird because aside from SSB, Goku has generally been pretty conservative with his stamina, opting to remain in base most of the time.

Let's hope he deliver some cool animation because his art is definitely not for me.
If he's supervising episode 103, hopefully Karasawa will supervise episode 104. I want Goku/Hit tag team battle to look as gorgeous as possible.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota
Tate showing up before Karasawa is interesting to me, especially since Tate did some animation for 99. If Karasawa is on 104 that means he's getting 10 whole weeks, hopefully he has some great animators with him too! That could be when Shida shows up again.
Can sonmeone please tell me why Tate draws the eyes and noses so bad on purpose? Obviously he does it intentionally, but why? It looks jarring and off model for no reason.

It's pretty Z actually, you could say the same if Naotoshi Shida was given a supervison role + 2 minutes of action animation, and giving Tate like 8 weeks for a 1 minute action....
It's not that bad really, his work is still improving as the schedule improve.

And, also one of his episode 5 corrections looks so good.
Can't find it, but I remember I posted it somewhere.
I'm bad at English and still learning. If there's anything wrong, please correct me.
Asura wrote: but when it comes to anime it's really more up to personal preference, which is whether you prefer hand-drawn or digital. Newer animes will mostly be digital, older animes will be hand-drawn. In my opinion the Buu saga looks a lot better "graphically" than Super does because I prefer hand drawings to digital.
Super and 90% of the industry still use "hand-drawn"... i mean they drawn on a paper, not tablet (in the majority of cases) anyway digital is drawn by hand too... the colored yes: is digital

Eh, I actually like how he draws eyes and noses. His eye's tend to be a fair bit softer, replacing the edges of the eyes with these really fleshy curves, which makes them look a lot bouncier and emotive than the edges the actual character designs sport.
I like Tate's noses for the same reason I like Itai's noses, it actually protrudes out of the face without looking like a flat gaping hole or a witches cone.
ArchedThunder wrote:Also digital art is done by hand as well, it bothers me when people think that art done digitally isn't "by hand".
Yes is a very common mistake in the people, digital art is done by hand too, the diference is the medium, digital in tablet with a digital pen, "hand drawing" or better said traditional animation in a paper
EDIT: But i understood that he was referring to a "hand-drawing" how animation traditional, and digital how animation with a tablet (in both cases by hand), for that my quotation mark

They reuploaded the tweet, wonder why they took it down, the pictures are the same.
EDIT: Oh, the person who made the original tweet accidentally said the magical girls were from U12 instead of 2.
Yeah, I think thats the latest episode to be confirmed by NEWtype.
Also, when can we expect new NEWtype spoilers for upcoming episodes?
It's actually animage.
If they follow the pattern we've been seeing the past few times, any time in the next few days, or even today.
It'll either be 103-106 or 107.
I guess now is as good a time as any to do predictions ( we already know 103 is Tate)
103 - Tate
104 - Karasawa + New or returning supervisor (My money is on Yoichi Onishi)
105 - Itai
106 - Kitano
107 - Yashima

what if yoichi onishi is on today's episode with nashizawa, that last vegeta shot in the preview had some of the same art in episode 49
