Provided no break in schedule should start in December but knowing Toonami it is best to assume it'll begin in January.

We can certainly expect a few delays on the way. I know whenever Toonami does a marathon, it disappoints a lot of people here, so let's go into this expecting a start in January, not December.

Yeah Buu Kai was supposed to start in Dec but didn't until January, Champa arc was supposed to start in July and didn't until August so best to add an extra month and if the Trunks arc does start before January then that's a bonus.

Chris Sabat replied saying "I have a feeling the fans are going to LOVE your next appearance. #MyLipsAreSealed" Is he referring to Daman Mills possibly returning as Freeza due to Chris Ayers's health or could he be referring to Mills playing another character in Super? It's probably the latter.

Damn, I'm at a complete blank for who he could be playing. I wanna say Zamasu but that's only possible if things didn't work out with James Marsters.

I was thinking Monaka and Mills liked a tweet about someone saying that they'll tune in to find out so it's probably Monaka or some other fighter in the Universe 6 tournament

Oh crap, I totally forgot about Monaka. I can definitely see Mills playing Monaka.

I met Jonathan Young today and asked him if he sang Hello Hello Hello in English and I can say for a fact that he is the singer. He just wasn't sure if he was allowed to say and I reassured him that we started hearing it on Toonami back in February

I really hope things don't work out with James Marsters. His Zamasu voice is just... so robotic and bad that many have pointed out he sounds like Microsoft Sam.

And yet we've only heard him in Xenoverse, where he only had to match the timing of the Japanese actor & had VERY little in the way of direction for the scenes because they didn't have the cutscenes. I'm betting with Sabat's direction, he's a lot better when dubbing over the anime footage.
Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

I'm still curious to hear what James Marsters brings to the table. I don't think it's fair to judge how capable he is with playing this character just based on his lines from Xenoverse 2.

The guy was the only good thing about DragonBall Evolution.

Honestly, if things don't work out with James Marsters, I'd like to see Keith Silverstein fill in for Zamasu but considering that Sean and Chris have pretty much stated firmly that he IS going to be Zamasu in the dub I don't see that happening. They're keeping it hush hush for a reason

I don't remember them actually stating that he was Zamasu.

They didn't mention him by name but they always say that they're really excited for the dub of the Black arc because of "the guy we got playing Zamasu" and they say it like that because they don't want to mention it right now as they instead want it to be a surprise for the Black arc. Plus, Schemmel mentioned recently that he met him at a few cons, which according to Twitter he has, and that he was the one who mentioned him to Chris and then he auditioned and booked the part

Come now, that doesn't excuse the fact that his voice and tone are COMPLETELY off from the Japanese version. I dislike the Hit voice but I can at least see he was trying to mimic the JP actor's monotone voice. James Marsters on the other hand just completely did his own thing without any regard really for how the JP voice actor for Zamasu sounds.

Champa was a good pick, and while he sounds better in the anime now than he did in Xenoverse, it's not a huge difference. Likewise James Marsters would be relativity the same. If the voice sucks to begin with it can only get a bit better in the anime. I just don't think he's going to do the role justice whatsoever.

I know this is the dub thread, but, the only threads I see this guy, Scsigs, are the (modern) dub threads.
