The purpose of the other Supreme Kais of U7?

So after Beerus sealed away Elder Kai, did it really take 5 Supreme Kais to replace him? From what it looks like other universes, their is only one Suprmeme Kai. Is this a hiccup on Toriyama?

There is a chance he forgot of course, but I find it more likely he just streamlined the concept.
1 Angel, 1 Hakaishin and 1 Kaioshin. That would also mean he wouldn't have to design so many new Kaioshin.
In-universe U7, may just have had a particular fruitful period, where 4 Kaioshin were born not long after each other and so all became prospect Kaioshin.

There were originally four Kaioshin along with the Grand Kaioshin overseeing them all. Who knows? Maybe the other universes lack a collection of cardinal deities each overseen by a respective Kaioshin. The most likely out-of-universe answer is that neither Toriyama or the studio recalled the existences of equal cohorts for Kaioshin. In the newly imagined Super lore, it's strictly a binary pair of gods, one based on creation and the other, destruction.

Once i saw this theory that Kaioshins are like anticorps. Due to Buu's presence in Universe 7, more Kaioshins were born and we ended up having 5 Kaioshins. In universe, AT just changed his mind or forgot this. But i wonder if the others universes have the regular Kaios though.

Yes. Zamasu was the Kaio of North, so at least that wasn't changed.

So if I got it right, the 4 Kai's of each quadrant, have potential to become a supreme Kai? I guess I missed that part of Zamasu, where he was a king Kai of the north.
