I wouldn't take Budokai 1 as anything close to canon. It's a game. Dragonball games are pretty notable for occasionally just making things up.

The fact is Gohan didn't know Kamehameha until his training with Goku in the Room of Time and Space as far as we know. He never used it until after that point and prior he never really had anyone teach it to him.

Well no, he told you that not to be picky or joke around, but because typing with proper grammar and punctuation is a rule on this board.

What episode was this?

A bit late, but it's episode 26. Pretty sure it is, at least. The Goku/Jackie battle is only 3 episodes long anyway.

Last time I knew, Goten's "KameKAmeha" was simply a mispronunciation of the actual attack
