No manga filler
Don't know if anyone else noticed this, but I realized aside from the adventure regarding the Carrot Master, the Dragon Ball manga doesn't have any chapters that are kind of like filler. What I mean is there are no chapters that are just stand alone adventures that don't add much to the story overall and could get excised in the anime like some early chapters of YYH and Shaman King. The closest is just to me the whole Carrot Master thing, other than it explaining Bulma's change in clothes. Any thoughts?

Well, the Boss Rabbit confrontation is Yamcha and Goku's first team-up, so that kinda gives a reason of it being written other than to fill space.
Also, while there are some considerable stinkers in the anime's filler department, I really like a lot of the ideas and concepts Toei brings to life. Like Chuquita, the Driving School ep will always be a classic in my heart. Other filler like the actual time of healing the Z Senshi takes after the battle with Vegeta, the extra material in the 10 days of peace before the Cell Games (yay for Father/Son fishing and Cyborg Tao!), the Afterlife Budokai, the extra Great Saiyaman stuff, getting to see Gotenks' first battle with Buu where he's trashed to embarrassment, and even the West City/Goku saving dinosaur eggs filler episode after Buu's defeat. Just some very good stuff in there IMO, at least we don't have to put up with 85 episodes straight of pure filler like I could point out regarding another certain anime; DB and DBZ's intertwines with the over-all original story of Toriyama's (certain contradicting elements notwithstanding) that can be more-or-less fun to watch.
