I think they decided to let Toyotaro be ahead and use his work as reference, apart from the usual Toriyama's outlines. There are still some anime exclusive things from the past like the blue KK, but now they are clearly getting closer to the manga's take on the god forms.

Maybe Toriyama told them to do so, fed up about Toei changing too much his story, or it was the new director's decision. Whatever it is, it's good news.

TheMikado wrote:Dragonball Super has been a Toei invention from the very beginning. The concept of God forms 100% belongs to Toei. Dragonball Super belongs to Toei and everything in it. Thus nothing can be disregarded. You want Dragonball content without "filler" and Toei's influence? Read the manga. You can't separate Toei from Toriyama in the anime because none of use know if he wrote those "filler" parts we can only guess. Unless you have a copy of the outlines.
The stories are from Toriyama and the manga doesn't belong to Toei so Super doesn't belong to Toei, I'm sorry.

Of course it can be disregarded. It can and it is, unless you want to explain why Arale wasn't considered for the tournament?

Let's not be dishonest here, some things have Toei written all over them and we know Toriyama is busy writing the plot. Even if he just gives them a couple suggestions, he doesn't use them for his stories.

It's probably better if the manga and the anime get closer. This way the stories won't be too different and Toyotaro and Toei could help eachothers to make the story better.

As I've already said: If they provide a good explanation for Super Saiyan God coming back, then I'll welcome its re-introduction with open arms.

Toei manged to pull a golden rabbit out of the hat with Goku Black/Zamasu and Freeza coming back again for Tournament Of Power, so I'm going to given them the benefit of the doubt, even though they've been quite hit and miss with certain concepts Super has created.

Toei and Toyotaro working together to create a better product is better than Toyotaro go ahead and Toei adapting everything he does. He's not that good.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

If the explanation of SSG coming back is something decent like he didn't know he transformed back into the ancient form or somesuch, then I'm game. If not, than I'll be a bit peeved because didn't like it to begin with.

Toei gave Frieza returning a good one some I'll put my trust in them.

I'm not buying the theory about the anime and manga being the same, god goku could have been an AT idea if anything ,we haven't seen these panels animated Image Image I just don't like the idea of both continuity being the same

Those panels, along with his other drawings seemed rushed, the quality wasn't that high..
More than likely Toyo made them separately in an extremely short amount of time only for the trailer..
When the trailer happened, they could already have been ahead and planned some of the story or animated at least up till the introduction and thus didn't bother including these shots ( remember how toppo was someone else in the introduction picture before )..

There is clear Toyo influence all over this arc, if Toie themselves could manage the characters personalities at key moments correctly they would already have done it long ago, this change came after Toyo started giving them information..
It could denied because of not much proof but as of now, Toyo it is..

the producer didn't even mentioned him in the interview and and the art don't look rushed since at time Toyo art look like that.As of rights now I'm not believing this theory until I see the manga take of this

Yeah, it's a Super @$!%ing underwhelming way to introduce someone as a threat or fighter in the tournament. From that point onwards, I don't think anyone really expected much out of him.

Well, if Toyotaro is giving ideas to the show it would at least explain why fights have been so uninspired lately.

To be honest, I prefer Toyotaro's fights in the manga to their anime conter-parts, namely because they make far more sense, though I do agree he isn't great at making a antagonistic threatening or have that much of a personality.

There is no blatant reference in our face and not that much exposition with the characters, did you see an exposition in ep 100-101 and jiren is intimidating and not freaking out in the anime which in the manga is gonna make him a chump

The art was so odd people assumed grand priest was evil because his look came out so eerie..
It definitely had a step down from his usual quality..

I can understand that. I personally don't find many of them engaging in the least, however much they make sense or how well they're drawn. Despite that I loved the third act fights in the Black arc, so it's not all bad (even though bad is a strong word anyway).

Make Toppo do that. Not some fodder (because we know he'll get taken out by Hit and Goku in ep 104).

I actually do agree with what your saying, a lot the time his fights aren't particularly engaging. Though, oddly enough, the parts of the fights that I do remember from the manga are actually the moments leading up to the final clash between characters(e.g. Goku and Fused Zamasu charging at each other for one last blow and Hit at full power standing off with SSG Goku).
