A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

Maybe Super leads in to a remake of GT where they take a second crack at those nifty ideas.

They will never disregard GT. A fan back in 2015 blatantly obvious tried to get an answer from Yamamuro-san and when the translator told Yamamuro-san what the guy said about "many fans think GT does not count towards blabla" Yamamuro-san just laughed because he knew what was coming next. And then he just said how it has characteristics of a spin-off but is also a sequel and, and, and to give a pretty good yet not totally un-foggy answer.
I hope so. Toei should bring back Matsui-san, the writer of GT, and at least Toyble-san, if Toriyama-san does not want to.Kanassa wrote:Maybe Super leads in to a remake of GT where they take a second crack at those nifty ideas.

I think Super's current writers could do a good job of making a better GTCetra wrote: I hope so. Toei should bring back Matsui-san, the writer of GT, and at least Toyble-san, if Toriyama-san does not want to.

I was talking mostly about Super, and the team in charge of Super, not Toei as a whole. Of course GT is their property, and I heard it sold actually pretty well, so they wouldn't try to pretend it never existed.Cetra wrote:They will never disregard GT.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I think Super could remake GT's storylines but actually do it right this time. Maybe this time around Bebi is from another universe instead of our own, probably Universe 3.
I'd also love to see the Evil Dragons story actually DONE RIGHT. It was such a great idea that overusing the Dragonballs led to something bad, so seeing everyone fight evil dragons and not just Goku would be good.

That picture pretty much defines Toeis main goal.
And what would bring back GT main writer? Just let Toyo take over the franchise, and input the knowledge he is learning by being influenced in Hero Academia.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I'd love to see that, weather it's set during Super's events or after. It'd be great to see something like the shadow dragons being fought by the whole cast instead of Goku. We could also get better designs for most of them.precita wrote:I think Super could remake GT's storylines but actually do it right this time.
That's who's keeping the franchise alive. I'm just happy Toyotarou isn't holding back and is giving us things like Blood.perucho1990 wrote:

That was not an answer for you per sé. Therefore i did not quote you. I just threw that into the round because of the topic itself.Michsi wrote:I was talking mostly about Super, and the team in charge of Super, not Toei as a whole. Aya Matsui is a splendid writer. Toyble not so much. And what would bring back GT main writer? Just let Toyo take over the franchise, and input the knowledge he is learning by being influenced in Hero Academia.

BTW who wants a Freeza/Vegeta tag team?
I love their current interaction and it makes Vegeta a bit more interesting as well.
Somehow their competition and shut talking remembers me of Sanji and Zoro.

Then why did GT have bad writing? Because based on what she did on GT, she should be writing episodes for Spongebob or Family Guy.Cetra wrote:

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
GT did not have bad writing. Just because a bunch of youtube comments say so because the compare what they loved about Z does not make GT have a bad script. A few inconsistencies does not make it automatically bad writing. GT has plenty of soul in it. And comparing it to Spongebob you are defeating yourself because Spongebob behind all of its jokes or maybe even especially because of its use of them is actually a pretty clever series, even if it is not supposed to be taken seriously.perucho1990 wrote:Then why did GT have bad writing? I want to know what that symbol means too, there's also a squiggly separating GT from the rest of the timeline, but nothing like that is between DB, Z and Super.

Black Dragon Balls Arc, Super 17 Arc, Most of the Shadow Dragons Arc had Hiro Mashima level of writing, bad attempt at gags, horrible sense of humor, forgettable antagonists, horrible characterization(See Pan).Cetra wrote:

So you are stating your opinion as a fact. There actually is a squiggly bit present for Z I missed it when I posted those:ArchedThunder wrote:I want to know what that symbol means too, there's also a squiggly separating GT from the rest of the timeline, but nothing like that is between DB, Z and Super.

That's not a complete break in the line like the GT one though.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:There actually is a squiggly bit present for Z I missed it when I posted those:ArchedThunder wrote:I want to know what that symbol means too, there's also a squiggly separating GT from the rest of the timeline, but nothing like that is between DB, Z and Super.
