You are referring to the time skip ~. Looks like they used them (the also used them for other parts where they did not highlight it white). A kanji is a japanese word.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:There actually is a squiggly bit present for Z I missed it when I posted those:ArchedThunder wrote:I want to know what that symbol means too, there's also a squiggly separating GT from the rest of the timeline, but nothing like that is between DB, Z and Super.

The squiggly bit probably refers to a time skip. The kanji being there is interesting though.

If you look at the GT timeline pic you see a Kanji behind the age.
Something which isn't visible on any other age

I know that one person meant a kanji, but baggie does not. He referred to something squiggly, so the vertical ~ which appears multiple times in the chart. There is no complete break in the line anywhere but between EoZ and GT though.Draconic wrote:The squiggly bit probably refers to a time skip. The kanji being there is interesting though.
No, we are talking about a vertical squiggly on the colored line. The only thing he called kanji was the actual kanji,Cetra wrote:

Neither GT nor DBS had strong writing, and most complains toward those series are POWERLEVELS, but I'm excluding them from the discussion because i dont care much about PLs, what I care the most is the entertainment aspect.Cetra wrote: So you are stating your opinion as a fact. What exactly is that supposed to lead to except for the ordinary internet argument?
GT wasnt entertaining, DBS is lucky they have better characters than GT(Saiyan Kids, Hit, the Hakaishins, Angels, Kaioshins etc), to carry the writing. An example of a carryjob was the controversial Genkidama Trunks vs Merged Zamasu fight .

I know SOME people do. But other people talk about the kanji that is behind 789 in GT. Two completely different things. And the squiggly thing that is quite appears two times. One is below Freeza.
So you continue writing it like factual which is completely flawed from the get-go, especially as you do not even have a normal standard set that you use like I did when I stated something about Matsui-san and Toyble-san because my statement actually had standards in mind instead of just going by a random úniversal factual claim like your posts that you simply continue to state like they are a real thing. Discussion over.perucho1990 wrote:Neither GT nor DBS had strong writing, and most complains toward those series are POWERLEVELS, but I'm excluding them from the discussion because i dont care much about PLs, what I care the most is the entertainment aspect.Cetra wrote: So you are stating your opinion as a fact. GT actually had better ideas than Super has produced thus far. The idea of a Tuffle attempting to get revenge on the Saiyans wasn't bad. Neither was attempting to end the series with making the constant use of the Dragonballs which was a safe haven go back to haunt the protagonists in the Shadow Dragons. What better final villain to think of is there in terms of ending the story?perucho1990 wrote:Black Dragon Balls Arc, Super 17 Arc, Most of the Shadow Dragons Arc had Hiro Mashima level of writing, bad attempt at gags, horrible sense of humor, forgettable antagonists, horrible characterization(See Pan).Cetra wrote:
GT did not have bad writing. Just because a bunch of youtube comments say so because the compare what they loved about Z does not make GT have a bad script. A few inconsistencies does not make it automatically bad writing. GT has plenty of soul in it.
Great ideas is one thing, execution is a whole other story though.

Oh no my Kanji comment was meant to be separate from the squiggly line comment. I didn't misunderstand.Cetra wrote:I know that one person meant a kanji, but baggie does not. I know SOME people do. But other people talk about the kanji that is behind 889 in GT. Two completely different things. And the squiggly thing that is quite appears two times. One is below Freeza.

CAN someone just tell what the Kanji means at GT?

Nevermind, I totally missed that there was one right under Freeza. I'm talking about the colored bar for the timeline having a break in it.Draconic wrote:What do you mean by this?ArchedThunder wrote:There is no complete break in the line anywhere but between EoZ and GT though.Draconic wrote:The squiggly bit probably refers to a time skip. I think the squiggly line might represent a break or a branch in the timeline. There's one between EoZ/GT and one between 764 and 767 which was where the timeline split in the Androids saga.

Cetra, it was over the moment u said GT never had bad writing, whats next, Snyder not being a bad writer because he was part of the Wonder Woman writing team?
Syn Shenron had a good design but a dull personality.
If Freeza plans to rebel against the Gods, there is also great potential in it.
Thats why I didnt include the Bebi Arc because it was decent overall.omaro34 wrote:

All I know is this Goku vs Jiren fight has been hyped to all hell, yet a part of me is telling me to not fall for it and still reserve expectations, but how can I they have been hyping this fight up for 7+ months...!!! If they pull it off it I will clap my feet!
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I don't know if I should report you for trolling or not, considering you always write stuff like that. Don't try to turn around things by saying "it was over when ..." just because I said that. What you say makes no sense, twisting things with an illegitimate comment now will not lead to anything. I am using a set standard for the rating of a writer's quality. Your entire posts are written like they are a natural law, a universal fact that is under all circumstances true. And you have no way to back it up other than bringing in more claims of that nature. So as said, you acting like that ended it, not me. You cannot seriously think stating your opinion as a fact instead of actually just posting something based on standards leads to a normal discussion. Really everything you write is a factual claim with no hint that you are just using a set of standards that you actually also should acknowledge as not universally true.perucho1990 wrote:Cetra, it was over the moment u said GT never had bad writing, whats next, Snyder not being a bad writer because he was part of the Wonder Woman writing team?![]()

So why is GT still listed on the official timeline if it isn't canon? By that logic all the movies should be listed there too.

[/spoiler] but the Kanji is definitely on there for GT though.
