What are some of DBS most iconic moments?

Post by LazyAles22 » Wed Aug 16, 2017 6:37 pm

What iconic moments will we all remember in a few years?Moments like Gohan father-son kamehameha in DBZ.
Here's a few of my personal favourite moments:
1)The battle between Goku ssg and Beerus
2)Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken vs Hit
3) Vegeta teaching Cabba how to go ssj
4) Black Goku's introduction
5) Super Saiyan Rose
6) Super Saiyan Rage
7) VEGITO BLUE
8 ) Spirit Sword
If a male and a female fuse togheter , would the result be an hermaphrodite??

Episode 5.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

Trunks' first transformation into Super Saiyan Rage and the Spirit Sword.

"Shall I tell you where you miscalculated?"

Frieza murdering those assassins and getting a double KO against Goku is up there too.

I think this thread proves many of Super's moments will be viewed as iconic and nostalgic around 10-20 years from now in the same manner people look back at DBZ.

Nah. It just proves that, like any other shonen series, Super has scenes that stand out more than others.

Iconic is stretching it. There is nothing amazing in this show that wasn't already done in DBZ, let alone any particular scene that will make casual fans think 10 years from now, "oh, Super is that show where ___". Well, maybe introduce Goku Black.

Literally the most iconic scene in this show was Beerus vs SSJ3 Goku. Everyone will always remember that. Lol

The Trunks Arc will be remembered tbh, the only arc that could be remembered 10 years from now, and besides that maybe Kaioken Goku vs Hit.

3) Super Saiyan Rose debut
4) Merged Zamasu Fusion
5) Goku vs Gohan, Father vs Son fight
"Gohan, let it go. It is not a sin to fight for the right cause. There are those who words alone will not reach. Cell is such a being. I know how you feel Gohan, you are gentle, you do not like to hurt. I know because I too have learned these feelings. But it is because you cherish life that you must protect it. Please drop your restraints. Protect the life I once loved. You have the strength, my scanners sensed it..." -Android 16

Eh the Final Flash Kamehameha to eliminate U9 which followed by U9s erasure and the reactions afterwards is an unforgettable moment.

To be honest, Super doesn't have too many iconic moments. Not saying it doesn't have any, but it has less than you would think.

Battle of Gods - Goku vs Beerus

Resurrection F - None

Champa - Kaioken Blue

Future Trunks - Black's introduction, Vegetto Blue, Spirit Sword

Universe Survival (so far) - None

While I think the Universe Survival arc is shaping up to be slightly better than the Future Trunks arc, it lacks any iconic moments. This is why I think the Future Trunks arc will be the most remembered out of all the arcs, except maybe Battle of Gods.

Definitely on the "it really lacks anything worthwhile, bar a few" boat. Usually, a lot of the reported ones really lack the necessary build-up to make a statement for themselves, in my opinion. Other than that, I stated in another topic what I really think will go down as the most fond memories between the moveis and the first 100 or so episodes:

* Super Saiyan God's appearance/ fight in general (the one from the BOG movie, very specifically).
* Super Saiyan Blue + Kaioken * 10.
* Hit vs. Monaka.
* "Go wild until you die", "let's go wild together, then".

And that's it.
Hmm, maybe Zamas' "Son Goku", also. More for the "KAAAAHN" feeling than anything, but I'm not convinced.
But yeah, I feel like those above are the ones I'd instinctively define as "iconic" enough to stand out, whether through flair or execution.

I hardly consider Super as a whole "iconic". But memorable moments?

1) Trunks slicing Zamasu with his sword
2) Father-Son Gallick gun
3) Piccolo fighting Frost
4) Universe 9 getting erased and that angel with a devilish smile
5) Freeza reuniting with the Z gang when he was recruited by Goku to join the ToP.
6) Arale making Vegeta go blasting off again
7) The baseball episode where Yamcha survives but is in that same dead position he was in when he died against the Saibaman.
8) When Zeno blew up Trunks' timeline and destroyed Zamasu.

So many more to consider, but that's what I got.

Am I the only one that will remember Trunks waking up and throwing that punch at Goku followed by everyone's shocked expression? Perfect start to the arc imo.
