(I liked Tenkaichi for having it look like in the anime and not like Budokai 3 :( )
They're mirroring the first use of the attack, before it was named, not Budokai 3, because that's what Budokai was doing as well. You know, when he blasted Recoome with it on Namek.
kaioken12 wrote:Apart from this: I heard in a video diary, that the authors won't make new characters if nobody wants them to in the future (when they run out of original characters).

But what about Nappa Oozaru and so on? Aren't they kind of fictional, too?
No, not really. Nappa, Raditz, and Turles could all transform into Oozarus. That's a known fact. We never see it but it's something they can do. It's the same as giving the Masenko to 'Teen' Gohan or Ultimate Gohan, he never uses it but we know he can so it's not a true 'what-if' or anything.
kaioken12 wrote:Well then, I hope the game comes soon ^^
Perhaps now Vegeta's suicide attack will be a real suicide-attack, too.
Or some ultrablasts (teleport kamehameha or this attack with which Vegeta kills Cui) will not send the enemy flying away or falling down in one piece anymore.

Don't get me wrong: I don't want to have much blood, gore and splatter in it, just something more logical.
For example, when Vegeta blows himself up in Tenkaichi 2/Sparking Neo and wins the fight, he stands there afterwards and laughs.
I think that just don't fit to these "Goodbyes" before that - in my opinion, a Vegeta that is down (like when losing) or just no one with a victory sentence - just empty field.
But thats just my opinion. :)
Yeah, that is rather odd. B2/3 did it right with failing = dead but even those games still had Vegeta standing there cheering his victory. Personally I think they should just have an empty field if it wins.

EDIT
I figure, since these avatars are BT3 related, I'll post about them here too. 8)

Lots of new avatars up here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v153/_Xyex_/

Note that my main folder is now full so those avatars now continue into here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v153/_Xyex_/Avatars2/

And lastly, all the new BT3 art avtars also come in 100 x 100 sized versions for use on other boards and they can be found here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v153/_Xyex_/Moreavys/

Wow, you said a lot of things...

I think with the Vegeta thing he should be on the ground, using all of the strength he can muster to lean on his elbows and laugh weakly.

Ever play Super Dragonball Z? If you didn't Gohan and Cell's "Dragon Finishers" would be gigantic Kamehamehas that pushed the person out in to space and then blew up the moon, and after that the victim would just disappear (And quite rightly so I say!)
Right, exactly such things as that I mean! :)
Adey wrote: They should totally have that.
One thing I can say I enjoyed in BT2 over B3 is how when people are defeated, they lie there lifeless on the floor, not even breathing, unlike B3 where they're still clearly breathing on the floor, we need death damnit!
Hm, there comes one thing to my mind.
It wouldn't be too hard to script something, that defeated SSJ (2,3) go back to normal after their defeat would it?
I mean, if SSJ2 goes K.O. and still lies there with all aura and lightning etc. I just can't help, it reminds me of the scene when Vegeta was beaten by #18 and not already really KO (then he tries to stand up and attack and she throws Trunks at him) - it just doesn't look like they're really "defeated" in BT... (I mean, at least BT2 had transformations, so it would be cool to build in something like that) :/

Well, yeah, but... something just looks wrong at it...
Ever since Vegeta used Final Flash (or this Final Flash-prototype on Namek if I may call it this way), he just put his arms back, charged, then put his arms together again, and fired.
He always looked at his opponent during charging, he didn't put his head up to look up in the air for a second or so.
My english isn't that good so I don't know how to express this...

Like this it was always:
Image

In B3 and the latest video diary he shows something more looking like a hollow back in my opinion...

Yeah, but anyway... Couldn't they have had a fun in creating something like Bardock SSJ or maybe Vegeta SSJ3 as well?
I mean, alright, these would really be more fictional and non-canon, but anyways... where would the problem be?
What I WOULD hate would be some new and bizarre characters that could not be happening at any rate (not even theoretically and in a strange whatif-way).
Xyex wrote:Yeah, that is rather odd. B2/3 did it right with failing = dead but even those games still had Vegeta standing there cheering his victory. Personally I think they should just have an empty field if it wins.
Yeah, that's it. In 2D-engines it would be very easy to script something like that, if that is the case in 3D-scripts as well, then they should just go for it.

So whatever happened to 3 original characters and an original story? Is all possibility for that lost now?

We'll likely find out how much of that is rummor and how much is fact on the 21st when V-Jump comes out. We're close to 161 characters (the only 'exact' number we've been given for character count this game so far) with, I think, only 2 or 3 spots left. So there's a possibility that the new V-jump will give us the last of the new characters to be added.

Then again, Spike may just be idiots that can't count (read: changed their minds despite having 161 as an offical exact number and decided to add more) in which case... who knows? I've pretty much given up on guessing what Spike is doing. They've got about as much logic with what they do as FUNi does....

When exactly in the video does Vegeta perform the half assed Final Flash then?

P.S - Xyex, thanks for the Photobucket link with all the avvys, awesome stuff.

Edit - Saw the Final Flash :P

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

I find myself laughing at the new developer interview video.

EXCLUSIVE INFORMATION ABOUT THE NEW GAME!!!!

"What new characters will we be seeing in the new Dragon Ball Z game?"

"Oh we will have many new characters like the namekian warrior Nail and King Cold and King Vegeta!"

WOW I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE GONNA BE IN!!!! (SARCASM!!!) I MEAN THEY WERE ONLY ANNOUNCED AT THE SAME TIME THEY ANNOUNCED THIS GAME!

I was hoping they would reveal maybe something new...oh well.

Though I guess it is better than when part 2 had the demo at Comic Con that showed the entire roster and Atari flipped out taking videos off youtube.

Maybe if they didn't want the whole roster announced before the game was released they shouldn't have had them all unlocked in the demo. So I guess they are trying to avoid this situation again.

I don't know. Sorry I felt like ranting. I'm done. Good night.

I've some something regarding the same thing at another forum:
In another forum, kvon wrote:With these Developer Diaries coming this close to the release date, they sure are being incredibly lazy with them. Then again, maybe that's what they think of us Americans, that we don't know anything that happens outside of the U.S. So far, there's NO official sources in the U.S. that revealed anything NEARLY as much as V-Jump magazines. What the fudge?! Only the forums of the likes (I'm talking about something about GameSpot, IGN, etc.) has any new information. And the sites just won't update, despite them having all these great stuff at their forums. (Hint: Atari U.S.). As plain as the official Sparking! METEOR site's updates are, they are still much better than Atari.

If I'm one of those who only checked the American Official Sites excluding their forums, I would wet myself whenever I watch one of the Developer Diaries because I've gotten nothing else.
Basically, they think we know nothing. (Or just plain lazy)

The best part of developer diary 3 was the last question.

Q: "Can you tell us about disk fusion?"
A: "Oh yes, it's a new mode."
The End

Exactly. :/

Well, at some point they wanted to create this "ultimate" BT with the fans and their wishes, now it's nearly done and I wonder, do they ever listen to wished (or did they in any case)?

Well here we go, the demo is out, and I must say I think this game is looking great.

I'll use Super Survivor as the BGM in every fight I do, it sounds so awesome!

Neat.

I prefer the english voices in the games, though. I just like to hear the pre-battle dialogue between the characters...

As do I, which is why I wish there was an option in the game for Japanese language with English subtitles.

Yeah, even now there's still quite a few unique dialogue lines I haven't heard in BT2 in English, but now I've forgotten, I always like the pre-match banter and that's why I usually have the English voices on too.
