Some characters needs to be collateral damage after Goku and Jiren jacks it up a notch, 3 namekians seems like they would do the trick just fine, like what happened with the Kurama wannabe thats supposed to be fighting Piccolo, he'll get the same treatmentKi Breaker wrote: That probably means tournament early stages are over and mid tier fighters are about to go next..
I am surprised piccolo didn't go down with the low tiers, sticking with gohan really helped him survive..

Ah yes how can we forget the many times Gohan saved Piccolo during the Top.Ki Breaker wrote:That probably means tournament early stages are over and mid tier fighters are about to go next..namekiansaiyan wrote:The preview for episode 105 said the tournament is entering its middle stage so what does that mean? Clearly sticking with Gohan is the best for Piccolo, nothing bad ever happened to him when he sticks with Gohan.
Lets not forget how much of an effective leader Gohan has been so far, telling the team to split up while he sticks with Piccolo and leaving the weaker members alone.

Nobody was talking about canon, if Super decided to throw out SSJ4 out of nowhere in the show it wouldn't change the fact that both series are non canon.Nero<>Akira wrote:this form isn't gonna make GT canon lol stop it.

How? Things actually tend to go rather badly for him when he sticks close to Gohan.Ki Breaker wrote: Surprisingly piccolo didn't go down with the low tiers, sticking with gohan really helped him survive..
I think it's actually the other way around, as in Piccolo chooses to stick close to Gohan. Mother hen instincts and what not.Lets not forget how much of an effective leader Gohan has been so far, telling the team to split up while he sticks with Piccolo and leaving the weaker members alone.
But seriously, didn't they have this entire thing where they've come up with combo attacks. It was Gohan's idea. I think that's why they chose to stick together.

Not the worst choice but not the best either,i was just being sarcastic(well excluding the leadership part).Ki Breaker wrote:We already had this conversation, Gohan is effectively the best leader universe 7 can get out of all those imbeciles..Whatever wrote: Ah yes how can we forget the many times Gohan saved Piccolo during the Top.

I kind of wonder if we'll see an official U6/U7 team up? Frieza has teamed up with Frost and Goku so far has teamed up with Caulifla, Kale and now Hit, and the 105 preview makes it sound like some other business might be going down in 104. Champa is still being an asshole and probably wouldn't like that but a lot of the fighters show no interest in what he or Beerus think.

You all can't wait to see the 3 Namekians kick some butt especially Saiyan butt.

Cause Piccolo's only merit is being Gohan's support, when push comes to shove we know how namekians are treated, at least this time 3 of them are probably gonna drop dead after taking a blow from mid level characters.namekiansaiyan wrote: Piccolo does like seeing Gohan struggle and gets a front row seat if he stays with him.

The only butt they'll be kickin are the "Kachi Katchin" after they become collateral damage from Goku and Jirens fight
Bright side is... namekians are probably durable enough to break through the toughest metal rock in the 7th universe after getting blown there

Lets not forget how much of an effective leader Gohan has been so far, telling the team to split up while he sticks with Piccolo and leaving the weaker members alone.Splitting up was a terrible decision. With the new terrain, they could have easily found some defensible high ground or a hidey hole and burrowed in for the remainder of the tournament. Instead Gohan's just left Tien and Roshi out to dry.

Ah yes what better way to make the friendship circle pointless even in universe by discarding it and then doing the opposite of what the plan consisted of.
Then following it up by leaving the weakest members to fend for themselves.
How much more official can it get?Goku is saving his current boyfriend from the Beerus lookalike.
It better be someone with Magetta, that poor guy is left all alone and vulnerable with Botamo eliminated.
Then again there is not much left to do outside of Kabba and Vegeta.

Being serious now and hasn't Piccolo only ever protected him once when written by Toriyama? That is probably why it will not happen in the tournament since Toei will not be able to put it in the script.Ki Breaker wrote:You sure that's piccolo because last time I checked he dies for Gohan the first chance he gets..namekiansaiyan wrote: Piccolo does like seeing Gohan struggle and gets a front row seat if he stays with him.

I do not want Gohan anywhere near a Namekian vs Namekian battle.

Well if we are being serious here now, Piccolo needs to get away from Gohan asap, he does best when left alone, 17 vs piccolo comes to mind..namekiansaiyan wrote: Being serious now and hasn't Piccolo only ever protected him once when written by Toriyama? But if I had to predict, Gohan will intervene if piccolo is ganged up by the two of them..
Piccolo will mostly last for a few more episodes, he should go out in this mid part of the battle anytime now, hopefully after kicking one namekian silly..

Leader in this tournament seems to not only be making the plans but intervening when stuff goes wrong, roshi might outshine Gohan in experience, but nowhere near in power, same goes for piccolo..HeroR wrote: Piccolo or Roshi would have been better leaders than Gohan.
Gohan is the perfect balance between smarts and power in their team..

Well, he wanted to jump in when Gohan was being crushed by Cell despite standing no chance against him. Does that count?namekiansaiyan wrote:

He also pushed or knocked away an energy blast from third form Freeza after Gohan raged and got his attack sent back at him.
In what regard? Gohan haven't shown to be that smart at all. And the only "intervening when stuff goes wrong" Gohan did was deflecting one blast.Ki Breaker wrote:Leader in this tournament seems to not only be making the plans but intervening when stuff goes wrong, roshi might outshine Gohan in experience, but nowhere near in power, same goes for piccolo..HeroR wrote: Piccolo or Roshi would have been better leaders than Gohan.

Gohan has quick thinking and he has continued to show it in all the fights he has been recently, lavenda he figured out a way to win against the posion, suggested not to waste any energy on the parrot guy, figured out a way to beat the feints..HeroR wrote: In what regard? He has been complemented on being a great warrior in the show by enemies, twice now..
He only intervened once because that's when someone actually attacked their team and Krillin was about to get hit..
The intervention when necessary is also being done by other the team leader, Hit..

Unless the Toriyama script says they have to split then Toei are not going to. I hate this obsession that Toei have with Gohan and Piccolo being together all the time. I doubt we will even see Piccolo fight at all until at least episode 109 or 110.Ki Breaker wrote:Well if we are being serious here now, Piccolo needs to get away from Gohan asap, he does best when left alone, 17 vs piccolo comes to mind..namekiansaiyan wrote: Being serious now and hasn't Piccolo only ever protected him once when written by Toriyama? The need to give the Namekians an epic entrance first so Saonel taking out 17 easily as a way of telling us that Piccolo would have beaten 17 in their fight.
Nothing like the Saiyan arc though so I dont see Toriyama repeating himself.HeroR wrote:Well, he wanted to jump in when Gohan was being crushed by Cell despite standing no chance against him. Does that count?namekiansaiyan wrote:
