Yeah, boosting seems to be the new charging. Not quite sure how it works but one person suggested something similar to B3's ultimates, only without the failing, where-in a non-boosted attack wouldn't do as much damage and a boosted one would do more and maybe have a little extra flare to it. They used a video of one of Brolly's attacks as an example cause the, apparently, non-boosted version just exploded while the apparently boosted one got a small cutscene of Brolly detonating it.Adey wrote:I wonder what this Boost thingy is....
Does it have something to do with being able to charge the attack up instead of everything being like BT1's instant blasts and none chargeable energy attacks?
I like charging attacks better.
Of course, that could just be a version change from one demo to the next so there's no real way to know what this 'boosting' is until Atari explains it or we read the instructin manual.

Something I thought of today...They need to make Yamcha's spirit ball explode. He wasn't trying to kill Kami/Shen in the tournament, thus it was non-fatal. But in movie #3, he was trying to kill the robot henchmen of Turles, and it did explode. It also exploded in the saiyans of the past filler. It's kinda lame how it doesn nothing to someone who's trying to kill him...Let's say LSSj Broly.

I'll use Super Survivor as the BGM in every fight I do, it sounds so awesome!

Heh, I remember when I saw that Saiyans in the past episode back when DBZ was first airing over here, and Yamcha called it the Spirit Bomb, I was totally confusedDrunken Master wrote:Something I thought of today...They need to make Yamcha's spirit ball explode. Body vanishing seems to be in the game.As I said, splatter effects would be weird as well, but simply making the opponent invisible or something (like he was dead, desintegrated or something).
Wouldn't be that bad if it was like in Tenkaichi 2, but if something like that was included it would be more like in the show - in my opinion.
It's old now, but try finding the video that shows Goku SSJ4 using his Dragon Fist to finish off someone in Youtube... After the attack, the opponent's body had seemingly disappeared.

Been looking in on this topic sporadically, but not enough where I know every single character that's been announced.
Is Rilldo in this game? Seriously, he actually has transformations, so if they're trying to scoop up every last fighter in the DragonBall universe for this final PS2 game it'd be stupid to ignore him when you consider all the non-transformation characters (Kid ChiChi, etc.) that they're sticking in here.

Rildo hasn't been mentioned, but lordy, do we ever want him in.

Ledgic would be cool. He was totally badass. Plus I want to bitchslap opponents with that giant spear/stick.
The original DragonBall has been fleshed out nicely this time around, from what I've seen. Adding Rilldo and Ledgic would do the same for GT, and then we'd have better representation of the trilogy as a whole and just a little less of emphasis on Z only.
Granted, Z deserves the emphasis, but still.

I know, totally. I'm hoping the few remaining characters to be revealed will be from GT. Let's see, disregarding things like GT Vegeta as a skin and such, there could be...
Rildo
Ledgic
Babi

Hah. Amazing. It's even in my exact order of preference.
Rilldo: Ignored in every Dragonball game ever despite that he has not just one but two transformations, not to mention that he has a variety of techniques (unlike most of what we see in GT, where it's always raining Kamehame-Has or just nameless generic energy blasts). How the hell did they not include this guy in the first Sparking! game?!
Ledgic: The only reason Rilldo is above Ledgic on my list is because Rilldo has transformations that make his exclusion incredibly painful and stupid. Otherwise, Ledgic is the man to beat. In the five minutes we see him fight, he flashes more shit than some of the main GT characters do in several episodes worth of screentime. Twin blades? A spear-staff combination? A ki-based attack? That's more than enough to do something with game-wise!
And come on . . . he's just badass. Duh.
Baby: I'm assuming that you mean Baby in his base form, Kaboom. Interesting concept, but I think aside from that Taiyo-ken move he uses to escape stronger opponents that they'll have to really scrounge for tecniques to arm him with. Maybe he can be a base form for the entire Vegeta-Baby set, and his first transformation would be to infect Vegeta-- and until then, they can just give him a generic move set.
EDIT: (I'm done now, because I'm quite sure that my little rant would fit better in the Most Wanted New Characters in Sparking! Meteor thread. Heh.)

I actually agree. Even if just as a skin for regular Kuririn, kid Kuririn would pretty much round out the DB storyline.fps_anth wrote:I still stand by Kid Kuririn.
If he's not in the game, I'll be mighty pissed!

Precisely. Yamucha's DB costume is an alt. for him, right? Sure, Kid Kuririn is a lot shorter, but there's enough errors with the Sparking! games not to notice:PSSj Kaboom wrote:I actually agree. I don't like how King Vegeta uses a false moon for his transformation even when the real full moon was right behind him.

Some nice sonic sway action.
