I thinking having chars like #17 as assist is annoying, I mean we had that in the Supersonic Warriors series before, I know they are focusing more on the gameplay than the
character rooster, that's why I think they shouldn't focus much on Super.
Apparently just like GGXrd, FighterZ's story mode will be nothing more but a big OVA using in game graphics
Wow, not really invested in this new story mode, an evil army of the Z-Fighters? #16 revived and probably playing a major role? No offense, but this looks like it was written by a ten years old lol
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
Apparently just like GGXrd, FighterZ's story mode will be nothing more but a big OVA using in game graphics
Also, I don't get this complaint with the presentation of the story mode. Am I mis-interpreting what this means? In-game cutscenes are bad or does 'OVA using in-game graphics' means something else like how SHin Budokai handled story?

In Z, the characters were so depended on Goku that they couldn't go an episode without mentioning him in some way even by hoping he will arrived, get better, training to get stronger, our last hope, being like him, ect. Goku was wanked to hell in Z, even when he wasn't in the room and everyone else was secondary to him. In fact, this was a major issue Goku had, which is why he didn't want to do anything in the Buu Saga.

The story mode doesn't sound great but I'll take it over "Here's fucking Namek again guys!"
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.
How the Black Arc Should End (by Lightbing!):
Spoiler:
Absolute Zamasu(my name for their fusion) wins. He fulfils his utopia and dwells in his loneliness(x amount of time for this to happen). He starts to doubt of his achievements, Goku's body influences him to seek out challenges but there's nothing. Perfection becomes a curse. Absolute Zamasu starts to dread his existence and presents himself to the Omni-King, detailing on his actions.
Using his powers the Omni-King restores everything to the moment before Goku and Vegeta perish, humanity's last barrier. Zamasu concedes. He ask for forgiveness(mainly to Goku, Gowasu and Trunks) and understands that his justice isn't justice at all. He asks for judgement and the Omni-King delivers.
Trunks is forced never to travel in time ever again, all the time-machines are destroyed.

But most of the gameplay we've seen so far has been on Namek

Touche, but at least we're not getting another retelling of all the Z shit with Super & GT bells and whistles added in. I cannot fathom how people aren't sick to death of every Dragon Ball game doing that stuff over and over and over again in perpetuity.

I don't get the hate for the Blue saiyans. Sure, they could have used them as transformations like Golden Frieza or have SSG Goku and SSG Vegeta as separate characters that turn Blue, but this way, while they are recolours, they can focus on actual new characters while adding the obligatory actual godly forms that the saiyans have now. They are in a way extra characters that barely need effort to be added and are popular.
As for the story, people seem to forget that Android arc's premise is "Frieza survived and comes back as a cyborg, he and his father are killed by a time traveler who is Bulma's and Vegeta's son from the future that can also go SS, because everyone can now including Vegeta since he is pure evil, and is going to warn about two teenagers that were modified by a Earthling which somehow made them way stronger than Mecha Frieza despite the later having tecnology from more than 50 conquered planets". And that is before the whole Cell thing comes into play. I don't see how we can say the premise of this game is bad when the original manga itself had such an awful premise (and story arc in general imo). Let's see how they handle it. It can't be worse than another Raditz to Buu story.
English is not my first language. Please excuse my gramatical mistakes.

Xrd's story mode has no fighting in it, no gameplay; you just sit there watching it like a movie. That's the way I like it, but some people, understandably I guess, want to play inbetween cutscenes.

There's a lot of stuff to take into account.
For example, if the roster turns out to be 16-18 characters, and the gameplay forces 3v3 on you, I don't really see how an arcade ladder mode would work, since after 5 matches you've basically run through the entire roster (unless you're fighting the same guys over and over again). If the roster is a bigger number (as in 26-28 characters) then we're talking.
But ArcSys has never disappointed me in the past where single player content is concerned, I see little reason to worry now.

Well, maybe they heard abut some people wanting a DBZ Telltale-style Game, but only developed the idea half way

Things I've noted since that first came out yesterday:
1) It was posted on the 2ch clone site(hence the lack of reaction from other users)
2) That many characters is shockingly high, as well as that many costumes
3) GameTagerZ's(works for Play Asia, posts here) has a source who says it's bullshit, but one or two "obvious" picks on it are true
4) Slaythe(also posts here) said it might be fake, but it might not be fake, that the timing of it "lines up"; I don't know where his basis of inside knowledge comes from, but he has some

the only characters who I forsee being in the game from the leaks is Ultimate Gohan(basically confirmed at this point), Tenshinhan, Yamcha and maybe Videl which would be cool since I like her character. Kale and Caulifla are fairly recent so idk about them or really care either way
