Post by sangofe » Mon Sep 10, 2007 11:30 am

I now know these sets are bootlegs. I advice anyone to stay away from these horrible sets.

Nice packaging... But the fact that they're using manga artwork makes it a bit questionable...

And the fact that they're region free.
Be grateful the filler in Dragon Ball doesn't suck like the 3rd arc of Rurouni Kenshin.

The fact that they're region-free doesn't mean a thing.
Most Korean DVD's aren't region-coded.

It'd help if you show us the source.

That wouldn't help much, because these sets are at yahoo.jp auctions.
I copied the auction text in the topic.

Well, one of the first mentioned is that there is a Korean-dubbed audio track. Therefore, chances of its legitimacy are higher just on that account. Secondly, it states that it's factory-wrapped. There's your other hint. Thirdly, I've seen this set on sale at yesasia before. So there's your bingo right there.

They're apparently dual layer and have the same amount of discs as the boxes so I hope it's about as good.

I wonder how much they cost.

Auction price's going for around 15 - 17 000 yen.

And there's also the fact that the Koreans are known to make some of the best DVD's in the world. I'd be rest assured with this set if I were you.

Did they release only DB? Or did they do DBZ and DBGT too?

I've purchased the DB set, i will make screen captures later. Hopefully we could get comparison shots from someone that has the Japanese DB Dbox :)

Nice Corey. It will take some time before I get the set since my friend in japan has to receive it, then mail it to me, but I'll bump this thread :)

I'll probably buy it if it has both Korean and japanese language in Dragonbox quality (sorry R2 singles, but this packaging is much nicer!).
