Apprehension. The lecherous old man gag has never been my cup of tea and it was what made early Dragon Ball less enjoyable for me. I might even wait to read the comments about this episode first and only check it out after I'm certain there's nothing that will make me cringe too hard.

I still can't believe we missed out on Buu in this tournament over either Roshi/Tien. Buu has so many fun attacks and is so unpredictable in battle they could have literally done anything with him.
Instead we just have Roshi repeating his old attacks from Dragonball, and Tenshinhan has been somewhere off in the background the entire tournament. Fat Buu has so many funny attacks and potential, I just realized how much I liked watching his fights back in DBZ and the few ones he had in Super.
Buu also looks amazing in the new upcoming videogame. Goddamit, Toriyama.

Kind of an assumption there.
Yes, it is. Literally everything about this situation is going to turn out to just be an assumption. We can't really use that moment to prove he's as ruthless as Freeza or not as ruthless.
Well, Hit and Frost are seen being just fine outside the atmosphere less dome, that Vados created, so yeah, they can survive in space, as far as the anime is concerned.

Wow almost no talk about Roshi and then you come in and talk about Buu.
Buu is boring, both character and fighting wise, all he does is tank attacks and overpower the others.
The only good about him personality wise is his relationship with Satan but since Satan is not even spectating, there is no point for him to be in the Top to begin with.

Tien deserves his place more than most. Only Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo deserve their place as much.

Roshi is more popular in Japan than he is in the west.
In the last popularity poll they did, he was higher than Yamcha and Tien, which is hilarious as he did nothing in z.
Sometimes we have to remember that super is a Japanese cartoon.

Lol, what do expect. They still wanking how awesome Gokus SSJ God Form is and how he stole the technique from Vegeta in the Manga switching Red to Blue.
Anyway Roshi is awesome, its sad to see to disrespectful comments about a true Dragon Ball Legend.
This is for sure Roshis final show in battle and I hope he goes out with a bang.
I dont have a problem with Fanservice either looking at Caway.
She was teasing a little striptease in the preview and our old Roshi hunting her through the Arena will be hilarious.

What show did you watch? Almost all of Buu's fights play out completely differently. Since he's also a shape shifter and can make weapons out of his body parts, they can do so much unique stuff with him you can't do with anyone else.
The only thing Buu IS good for is fighting, so it's bizarre he's not being used, not even counting the fact that he's still one of the most powerful beings from U7 too.

I love Roshi, they just have the tendency to repeat the same gag over and over again. And though I personally have no problem with it like many people seem to, it's boring if he succumbs to his desires next episode like the NEP implies. So, cautious optimism.

As much as people claim to "hate" the Saiyans that's all they seems to want to talk about, let's face it Saiyans are far more interesting anyway.

Non Saiyans will always be more interesting. No Saiyan action last week until Goku showed up and it was the best part of the tournament so far. Goku can in and just ruined the second part of the last episode.

So a guy with no charisma or personality getting beat up was the best part of the tournament for you? Well I don't know what to say to that.

I'm happy to see Roshi fight again but I'm not expecting anything new or really hype-worthy out of him. Even if he dies from the mafuba, he's fine again by End of Z. He's a pretty static and predictable character.

It looks like you watched a different show where Buu is more than a brute fighting style wise. How many times has him being a shape shifter helped him in combat?
How many times has he made a weapon out of his body parts outside of the 1 time with Majin Vegeta?
How many times has Buu done anything outside of tanking attacks, regenerate from those attacks and then simply punch his opponents harder?
He never makes use of most of his abilities because he is an idiot unlike Super Buu.
Fighting wise he is a more boring version of Vegeta with regeneration and without the flashy attacks.

He beat Goku with tactics before the tournament. Although I think kid boo and super boo are more interesting fighting wise.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Hitto has a personality. Not every character needs charisma, or flamboyancy, or complex emotions to have a personality. He has displayed character on a few occasions, such as his second rematch with Goku. Come on now.

Yup. Can't say I care about Roshi. That incredibly uncomfortable character episode of his and Tenshinhan's didn't do any favors either. Even without that episode, unless his shtick is handled by someone who understands the character we'd be in for another repeat of that episode from earlier in the arc where it'd feel at best dated and at worst alienating to a good chunk of the audience.
My thought is the only reason Roshi's even in this tournament is because Toriyama likes him. Not in the way that Koyama likes Brolli or the way Nagamine likes 17, but enough to where he feels shoehorned in when there were probably better options.
Not exactly sure why you'd expect people to get excited about Roshi lol
He's been irrelevant to plot since dragon ball.
How i predict the tournament will end:

A guy with no charisma or personality? What the hell are you talking about? Hitto has a lot of personality, he is an analytical and a proud warrior very confident on himself. On the other hand, a retard like like majin Buu must have a lot personality for you since you are complaining that he hasn't been used in the tournament. Who says Hitto has no charisma? I say he has a lot of charisma.

Not much to talk about. He is one of my favorite characters but his reintroduction as a fighter is forced and unnecessary. He passed the torch long ago. The fact his techniques are still so effective against strong opponents paints him as a coward, that for decades didn't want to risk his life against the enemies faced by the Z Fighters.
Kame-Sennin's participation in this tournament is a mistake by Mr. Toriyama.
I wouldn't really call him a coward. He tried to stop King Piccolo and died (I don't know why he didn't try to fight in buff form though), he asked Goku if he wanted help with Raditz but Goku said no because he was already revived once, same reason would probably apply to fighting Nappa and Vegeta. He wasn't on Namek so he couldn't help there, and after that all the opponents were way above his pay grade.
I think people are just over-hyping the strength of the people in this tournament. Most of these no names and fodder could easily be as low as namek saga tier and Roshi has been training (ya still kind of dumb he got that strong).
He shoudn't have to ask Goku. Piccolo fought the Saiyajin, and so did Chaozu and Kuririn when Vegeta and Nappa arrived. All three could not be revived in case of death. He wasn't on Namekusei bacause he didn't want to. Instead, 5-year-old Gohan was.
My point is, none of that is a problem when the story implies that there was nothing Roshi could do. But then we have Super showing that he could still help, just didn't.

Just imagine if Goku Black was still around and got to meet and fight with Toppo.. I can already imagine an endless battle of: "My justice! My Justice! No My Justice!!!!" Lol
