Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
The fights in this episode were really bad tbh, and it made U4 look like a joke. Honestly why did they even include U3, U4, U9, and U10 if they were just going to make their fighters look like a joke.
Also I think it would have been better storytelling for Roshi to have actually died.

Nostalgia is hitting me quite hard.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
As I predicted, Roshi is still on the ring.
PS: They wasted Ganos too, who would've thought, Toei.

Damn it, Muten Roshi should have stayed dead. That'd be more impactful and better for the narration.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I'm not at all a Roshi fan, but that episode was intense. And a bit sad.
Feels over Reals.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
The invisible fighter isn't from U4, but from U2. Oh God...
PS: The art's gonna be so bad next episode.

Really gave me some OG DB first chapters vibes...the nostalgia. Krillin and Goku's reactions... its like I was seeing little Goku instead of Adult Goku.. my eyes..

I guess they thought that eliminating 3 people in one episode (with 4 eliminations in total) wasn't enough for Roshi, the weakest member of U7.... At this rate U7 is going to have 50+ eliminations.Grimlock wrote:Damn it, Muten Roshi should have stayed dead. That'd be more impactful and better for the narration.

I actually rate this episode as one of the better ones of the tournament so far, yeah the choreography wasn't incredible, But I'm so glad that they didn't go the route of having Roshi go full on perve over the girls.
He told Tien he'd handle them and he did.
Can't wait for the subs to see his smack talk to Ganos properly about having experience over him.
So he has 4 KO's and an assist with Tien so far I believe. not too bad for the old timer.
People before the episode complaining about Goku getting snuck up on from behind and getting too much screentime for this ep were wrong on both counts.
I loved the way Goku instantly went for Roshi and wouldn't give up on him unlike Jiren with U11.

Well since U4 is the universe tha likes to stab people in the back and get others to do their dirty work it was always likely that most of their fighters were not of the highest caliber.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It's weird nobody from U7 is falling off.
I have a feeling at least half the team's going to get eliminated by one fighter in one episode. Jiren? Hit? Toppo? We'll see.

This narrative is so terrible, but eh... I'd be fooling myself if I ever believed it would be any different.Hakaishin Liquir wrote:I guess they thought that eliminating 3 people in one episode (with 4 eliminations in total) wasn't enough for Roshi, the weakest member of U7.... I'm assuming that you're talking about the ending and not the fights because, frankly, I don't see how anyone can argue that any of these fights were good. The scene where Roshi was about to die was dramatic, but it would have been even more impactful if he actually did die. And eliminating Roshi at the end of this episode would have been appropriate since he just got his own episode and he has already eliminated 4 people (5 if you include assists).TekTheNinja wrote:BITE THOU TONGUE MAN. There is still the chance the ending spoils the order of elimination. Next week its a Tien episode and if he gets eliminated, then it will become true.Zamasu55 wrote:It's weird nobody from U7 is falling off.

I'm glad that the invisible guy in the next episode isn't Damon or his twin. Leaves open the possibility that U4 might have 1 or 2 decent fighters.Zamasu55 wrote:The invisible fighter isn't from U4, but from U2. Oh God...

Still the possibility of him getting a couple more KOs now as well, he appears to be resting in the next episode which means he's likely to get another fight.Hakaishin Liquir wrote:I'm assuming that you're talking about the ending and not the fights because, frankly, I don't see how anyone can argue that any of these fights were good. That would be a nice scenario. It seems Tenshinhan can locate his opponents through heat.ultravegeta wrote:Vegeta went straight at Hit before Botamo and Magetta intervened. Vegeta knows how strong Hit is and what his time skip is. He was confident when he went for Hit, so it will be a legendary fight, whether vegeta wins or loses.
As a Vegeta fan, I wouldn't be sad if Vegeta lost after pushing Hit to his limits and fights equally. My dream scenario tho would be if Vegeta and Hit got somehow a draw and then Vegeta finishing of Toppo, and losing to Jiren because he got no power left.
Frieza wil have his titan battle as well. Would love to see Golden Frieza vs Ssj berserker Kale.
