As Ajay described earlier, a really lame episode. I would probably say it's the worst animated episode of the tournament along with #97. The only decent thing from this episode was Roshi's Kamehameha at the end of the episode.

Thankfully the actual narrative of the episode was strong enough to make up for it.

The NEP looks very rough, though I'm hoping that it's only the first half that looks under-whelming, while Shimanuki delivers some good corrections for the second(though from what we saw, even his art looked iffy). I'm hoping it doesn't turn out bad, but wouldn't be all that surprised, we all knew the tournament would collapse eventually.

EDIT: I could be completely wrong though, previews have proven to be unreliable in the past.

106 might deliver an amazing sequence, a beam struggle with shimanuki with iffy art,I don't mind it as long the animation & cuts will be good

I wonder who will be with Shimanuki in the next episode. I don't think the magazine listed that. As for today's episode, I liked it more than #102. I thought it was pretty standard episode of anime. Nothing bad or noteworthy about it.

I'm more appalled by people saying how bad this episode looked and I watched it from a website that recorded the stream and even then I thought it looked okay, nothing that blows me out of my socks but I can tell in better quality it would be okay and when I did check it out it was just that.

I think it just shows how far Super has come, a couple of off shots and all of a sudden people start panicking lol.

Anyway this weeks episode was par for course, nothing spectacular but it didn't have to be. We may have had a rocky start to the ToP but thinks have definitely settled down.

Ok episode. There's nothing special here.

Same thing for the NEP. Shimanuki's big heads is something I didn't miss. He's much better than that.
Oh well episode 98 is still by far my favourite of the Tournament. I will trust him as always.

Hopefully the new Special doesn't hurt the show much, as I expect it to do.

Still, this fanbase is as dramatic as ever.
Some less good looking parts in the NEP = episode 5/24 level of bad.

Unless something big happens behind the scenes, we won't have more bad episodes like that. Those days are over.

Apparently it's from a history program that will air in early September. That could be worth checking out!

Special PV is out. The 'specials' are seemingly just double episodes. One Piece covering Sanji vs Luffy, and Super detailing the start of Goku vs Jiren.

Note how One Piece actually has enough footage to show off, while Super has nothing. You know, just in case you needed a reminder about the production.

Given the special is ToP related, would it not be wise to not show anything? I don't think this is production thing, remember they have been pretty hush about this arc. All the marketing etc has been controlled.
