He was kicking ass until Ganos powered up a little more, then he was the one being kicked..

Which was expected seeing he just used a life draining technique and his next opponent was someone getting stronger while Roshi's body was getting weaker and couldn't keep up.

It feels like Freeza simply vanished from thin air. We haven't seen him in weeks. They're obviously saving him for later.

Does that mean Gohan, Piccolo and Tien are also being saved for later?

This episode was Great

The good

-Muten Roshi was awesome in this episode the way he eliminated the fighters of U4 was handled great.

-Dercori and Caway had some interesting Ability and Caway is cute.

-The scene Where Roshi almost died was emotional it show that Goku has emotion.

-Beerus and Quitela arguing was funny.

The bad

-The fight with Roshi vs Ganos was lame and Ganos looks really stupid when he transform.I would have preferred if he fight like a Ninja.

-There so many jobbers but the ability was used well but I was hoping Roshi eliminated Monna instead of Ganos.

Final Verdict

This episode was Great I really like Roshi development Something that This arc lack of and I can't wait to see Harmira and Pran in the next week episode.

That dosen't have anything to do with calculating the way power difference works..
He was weaker than Ganos, how he got there is irrelevant..
In the end it was sufficiently large power beats technique..

Ah, I LOVED this episode!

Roshi knows his place on the team, and though not as strong as his teammates, he can handle the weirder sh*t that could potentially be thrown their way with his own weird sh*t. He used his perversion effectively, surprisingly enough, and made good use of esoteric techniques.

Even when faced with someone overwhelmingly strong like Ganos, he held on by reading his opponent's moves to effectively keep up despite his inferior strength and speed. And the end! The end was fantastic! Roshi decides that limits are BS and knocks Ganos out of the ring, and then he collapses, prompting Goku and Krillin to become distraught.

Those three are a family, no doubt, and they've been through a lot together. I was all warm and fuzzy on the inside seeing Goku quickly get to Roshi's side to resuscitate him.

What is Roshi going to be able to do after this episode? The same thing with Caulifla, Kale and Dyspo as they are also injured.

I'd imagine he would still fight, but up against a stronger opponent, he'll lose and get eliminated very quickly given he's very likely running on fumes by this point.

They're just tired. Caulifla was ready to jump in and help Hit against Dyspo and Dyspo is determined to keep fighting. Roshi looked like he was resting in the NEP.

They won't be able to go against anyone good though. I think Frieza will be along soon to eliminate some monkeys. I wouldn't be surprised if Frieza and Frost just go around torturing and knocking out injured fighters in a few episodes though.

A big FU to all the haters who bitched about Roshi making the team. This perfectly explained how he was there to deal with weird / mystical opponents who may trip the others up. Do you really think that ballsack Yamcha could do that? Really? Also, he powered up and surpassed his limits by turning his lust into power, just like Black learned to do with anger.

Another FU to the haters bitching "Where's Tien / Piccollo / whoever big moment?" I really want to see Frieza shine. But I'm not twelve, so I realize they can only do one episode at a time. They'll get to him, just like they did Roshi and the Androids.

As long as we don't wait for a long time and only get 1 fight each and then it is bye. All this waiting for crap would not be good enough. They all deserve more than 1 episode each and Krillin went out way too early.

Roshi has been a gag character for about as long as Yamcha has, the entirety of Z, except he was also doing lots of training and fighting in Z, Roshi was a gag character even in Super up until the ToP.

Roshi was chosen to help fight Freeza's army, where was Yamcha?

Wow. That was a REALLY good episode.

Had Roshi have died there, that'd probably have been the most emotionally charged death we've had since the Namek saga(at latest). Hell that speech was perfect.

I liked that the focus was on Goku and Krillin and their emotional reaction to Roshi potentially dying. Death is so cheap in Dragonball and ESPECIALLY this arc, that this was such a nice treat; for death to be treated with a little dignity.

Little things like Goku holding Roshi or Krillin trying to get back into the ring really helped and this episode made Roshi look amazing. This is how he should be handled, right here. Absolutely loved it.

Ganos didn't look half bad either despite Roshi being technically the weakest person on the team, and it's nice to see a transformation that isn't a generic hair alteration for once. I missed the Zarbon/Great Ape style so that was fun. Alongside the Krillin focused episode, this one's easily one of my favourites. Hope Tien gets a similarly good dedication episode.

Well, some kind of dislike what he did to Tien. He also wrote Episode 90 where Tien was more.....passive than usual.

My favorite remains Atsuhiro Tomioka, although King Ryu is in the top three.
