DBS sometimes feels like a big plothole.

They made the wish before Piccolo died to the androids. This is also true in the main timeline since Pilaf didn't know that Shenron could grant two additional wishes in Resurrection 'F', so he wished for youth before Shenron was upgraded by Denda.

Will there be a break for Dragon Ball Super when the one piece special is airing, then?

That's what it looks like. The specials will take up both Super and One Piece's normal time slots. The One Piece one will be on the 1st from 9-10 and the Super one on the 8th from 9-10.

Seriously, there was on bad part and one iffy part and the rest was fine, and yet people are saying the NEP looks horrible and think the episode will be the worst animated episode in months. I seriously don't get it.

I think because the best the animation gets is usually "Pretty Good" so when people see bad frames with no context they make early assumptions.

Gohan and Piccolo are going to be made to look bad and need the help of Vegeta and Goku when they shouldn't. Tien will appaer for 30 seconds to find the sniper and that will be it.

Given how the episode have been mostly handled

Part 1: Gohan and Piccolo vs the U2 fighters.

Part 2: Tien, Goku and Vegeta help them.
