DBZ now on Toonami Jetstream

Post by Magica » Mon Sep 10, 2007 7:57 pm

This is a continuation of this thread.

The Arrival of Radditz has been put on Toonami Jetstream today.

And guess what? It's the Ocean Dub. Ep 1 will be up until October 22nd, so you'll have a lot of time to catch up on the dorky nostalgia like I am. :D

For some reason, despite all the censorship, I actually smiled when I read that it's the Ocean dub.

Well, it's free. So I'll probably watch them.

I wonder why they're using the Ocean dub.

By the way, if you have Real Player 11 you can record these episodes onto your computer.

Are you serious!? So if your IP is from outside the US it won't let you access the site!?

Lots of streaming sites based from particular channels do that. It might have something to do with broadcast jurisdictions.

Well, seems so. :?
That was the same thing with the ABC Website and the Desperate Housewives episodes.
Where are you from?

Speaking of the Ocean dub, I just received both Seasons 1 and 2 of the Ocean dub today in the mail on DVD. As overly-censored and non-Japanese-version as it is, I'm having so much more fun watching these than the season sets based on nolstalgia alone.

Next, I think I'll start getting the R2 DragonBox singles.

Oh, so I can't watch the episode, but I can watch an advert for LEGO? Awesome! ¬¬;

I had that problem too. It will propably pass after a while. Though, when I finally managed to get past the "Endless ad-loop", I learned that the site only works in America. I was somewhat annoyed by that.

Topic-related question.
For Season 1 of the Ocean dub, would $60 be a reasonable price to buy it at; because I saw it somewhere earlier today but passed it up because the price seemed too high.

About 7 years ago it was about $100 to buy it new. So, it's up to you, really. Out of rareness it should be higher priced, though.

Well, considering it and the Season 2 release are getting very limited due to being out of print, I'd probably go for it. Although, I got the eps as they'd aired on Cartoon Network several years ago (with more footage at the end of episodes than the DVDs have), so I'd probably not. But Chuquita, if the nostalgic value is strong enough for ya' and you don't have these episodes yet, I suggest going for it. Ya' know, before it gets to something like $120. ;p

This guy's selling for $40 with $10 S&H. I got mine for a bit cheaper but this is half the shelf price.

Here's a $10 set with $6.20 S&H. Cheaper than mine and it comes with the box itself! They're also selling Season 2 at the same price.

Thanks. Not sure if I'm gonna go for it yet, but after looking at the box covers (especially for Season 2) I can say Pioneer had much better artistic talent working on their cover art than Funi.
