Have to say I'm looking forward to the next episode more than any of the previous. Closest would be Goku and Hit vs Dyspo.

It's really starting to bug me that there are no signs of the other namekians and we are down to less than half the tournament fighters left. They damn well better be impressive at this rate

I think your second sentence explains your first one.mahakaishin1991 wrote:It's really starting to bug me that there are no signs of the other namekians and we are down to less than half the tournament fighters left. They damn well better be impressive at this rate

Universe 11 was meant to be the 'clear winner' and lost almost all its members to an upstart Kale throwing a temper tantrum and the she calmed down and whooped them even harder.
Universe 3's Nigirrishi was described as the most powerful cyborg warrior in promo material and is casually kicked out of the ring by Cabba
Rota did jack all
I'm at the point now where I'm starting to think they're going to either have the namekians vs Piccolo in one episode to them, or they will be casualties of goku and jiren fighting

More like ban Hiroshi Yamaguchi, all his episodes have been kinda bad aside from a very few moments like Vegeta/Freeza moment from episode 96.namekiansaiyan wrote:Toei should ban themselves from having Piccolo protect Gohan.
If Gohan couldn't take the attack in episode 106 then he doesn't deserve to stay in.
At least they are currently not fighting together and are only walking together.
I DO NOT WANT GOHAN NEAR ANY OF PICCOLO'S FIGHT'S AND PICCOLO ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE NEAR GOHAN'S FIGHTS.
Piccolo protecting Gohan was like Caulifla protecting Kale, both moments were written by Hiroshi Yamaguchi.

I would still advise caution. Maybe not impressive but surprising. Hopefully in a good way. Fingers crossed they don't get the Dr. Rota treatment.

I think the difference here is that they are Namekians( Slug and Piccolo) and not some random race we have never seen before.

Everyone will have differing opinions, its subjective obviously. Personally Kale might be the most pathetic and annoying DB character ever created to this point. Though maybe she will change now.HeroR wrote:Except that as awesome.perucho1990 wrote:More like ban Hiroshi Yamaguchi, all his episodes have been kinda bad aside from a very few moments like Vegeta/Freeza moment from episode 96.namekiansaiyan wrote:Toei should ban themselves from having Piccolo protect Gohan.

But Caulifla didnt use SSJ until the beam clash.
Like how Goku and Vegeta didnt use SSJ while they were fighting Prum.
Even though the worst offender was how Tien got eliminated, he went full retard there.

That would be Vegeta for me.GodKaio-Ken wrote:

Also, Kale got real character growth and became more than just a Broly clone. So I liked that moment between Kale and Cali. Plus, I don't mind the shy archetype that the Japanese uses a lot, although a lot of people seems to despise it.
What does have to do with the overall story and Cali was mostly like saving herself since Super Saiyan is still new to her. Goku and Vegeta didn't need Super Saiyan against Prum, so why would they use it. They guy was being pushed back by rocks. Goku didn't used Super Saiyan against that magical girl and she gave Goku a harder time than Prum, which was also written by a different writer.perucho1990 wrote:But Caulifla didnt use SSJ until the beam clash.

Tien got treated the same way he has been treated by two different writers, so not sure why Yamaguchi is getting heat. At least he didn't get nailed into the cliff like Gohan did to him.

After the first 10 episodes of the tournament I need to believe there is something good for Piccolo and that the Namekians are good fighters.Michsi wrote:namekiansaiyan wrote:I think your second sentence explains your first one.mahakaishin1991 wrote:It's really starting to bug me that there are no signs of the other namekians and we are down to less than half the tournament fighters left. Dr Rota was not hidden whereas the Namekians were.
We probably won't see them until after the special now as I doubt they are in episode 108 since Universe 6 is also episode 107.

Except SS wouldn't have helped against Prum though... in fact transforming would have made things worse for them.perucho1990 wrote:But Caulifla didnt use SSJ until the beam clash.

There are better examples of using the shy archetype the right way.HeroR wrote:

Hinami in Tokyo Ghoul, Hinata in Naruto, Kougyoku in Magi, Historia in Attack on Titan, Lucy Steel in JoJo even Wendy in Fairy Tail.
I'm glad at least Kale is better than Shirahoshi(fun fact that Kale seiyuu also voiced her), Orihime.

Hidden? You mean during the team close-ups before the start of the TOP? I don't remember that, but that could be a good sign.namekiansaiyan wrote:After the first 10 episodes of the tournament I need to believe there is something good for Piccolo and that the Namekians are good fighters.Michsi wrote:namekiansaiyan wrote:

I'm also really anxious about episode 108, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is their turn. I still think focusing so much on Piccolo's lowered stamina is an omen.

Either Goku or Vegeta couldve turned SSJ and attempt to toss Prum out of the ring, Prum couldnt get away from Dr Rota when he grabbed him.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I personally don't care for Hinata or Historia (who was honestly a lousy character, but made better by the fact that she was faking it), so there's that. Wendy also isn't really the shy type.perucho1990 wrote:

That's nice, but it doesn't change the fact his best win is on Goku.Bullza wrote:Well of course when he's a main villain himself and the focus is on him he's gonna get something big there, that's inevitable for all main villains.Jigurashi wrote: It doesn't count cause he was a villain? Lol of course it counts. That's the best win he has in the entire series. He didn't beat Freeza though. That fight ended when Freeza blew up earth and killed Vegeta, thus scoring a second win on Vegeta. Even when they reversed time, Goku interrupted that fight and killed Freeza instead. After Vegeta stomped Black, Black proceeded to overwhelm both Vegeta and Goku with clones anyway and get a power up himself, hardly seems any better than Cell proving his superiority over Vegeta when Black himself held both Goku and Vegeta at bay regardless. So you mention them as mere underlings, but want to try and sell that Frost, Magetta and Cabba were powerful dudes? It doesn't work that way. The people he beat in the tournament were all second tier fighters same as it was on Namek. Devaluing the opponents on Namek to suit your argument doesn't work. Goku losing as well doesn't mean Vegeta was treated better. He lost to Beerus and had to watch Goku outperform him.
Goku did all the work against Freeza and the best Vegeta gets is beating up on Goku's sloppy seconds and he gets killed anyway and Goku has to save his ass anyway. Next saga has him clean house on second tier fighters and then gets demolished by Hitto only to watch Base Goku outperform him. Next saga, he's the first to fall to SSR Black, and Goku does put in a better performance there. Vegeta eventually puts in a better performance against Black, but gets overwhelmed by clones, then uses a Father-Son Galick Gun on M-Zamasu, only for Goku to shit on that and outperform that. Vegeta ended that saga getting outperformed watching both Goku and Trunks outperform him. You can call Freeza a coward, but that was a life or death fight. He killed and defeated Vegeta. Vegeta lost a fight he very well should have won. Not really sure how he gets treated any differently in Super than in Z.
Vegeta beat up Frieza and because Frieza knew he was going to be defeated and killed by him he blew up the planet. Of course Goku would have had to step in afterwards to finish him off because Vegeta wouldn't have been aware of what he did unlike Goku.
Black didn't really overwhelm Vegeta afterwards. Goku and Vegeta destroyed a whole bunch of clones that kept coming back that's all. Very different from Cell where Cell proceeded to beat Vegeta unconscious. Then someone else even stronger had to step in, which happened all the time in Z.
The Universe 6 fighters were powerful, that doesn't need to be sold. They are amongst the strongest beings in an entire universe and he beat all of them back to back. Very different from Zarbon, Dodoria and Cui just being henchmen.
Even more different considering that Zarbon beat the tar out of Vegeta the first time and the second time Vegeta had to catch him off guard to beat him. Then he went to fight Recoome who also beat the tar out of him. Then Ginyu shows up and he ran off like a punk.
Goku only put up a better fight against Hit because he saw Vegeta fight him and he went to others to ask for hints. He had information Vegeta didn't. While overall Goku still better than Vegeta, Vegeta is not treated as a punk in order to make everyone else seem better nearly as often as portrayed in Z. Nobody has beat him so badly that he's cried yet.
That still doesn't change the fact Freeza beat and killed Vegeta. Vegeta got Goku's sloppy seconds and then even failed to take care of that. So Goku had to save him. Not sure why you've been trying to twist this to be a good moment for Vegeta. It's up there with one of the worst moments of him. The character wasn't treated well at all there. Literally the only bone he's given is beating up an already shot, fatigued and weary Freeza who can barely even put up a fight anymore cause Goku did the work of tiring him out. Even then, Vegeta fails to get the job done. Nothing in Z in his fights were as bad as that.
Black did. He straight up didn't even engage in fighting Goku or Vegeta anymore because they couldn't even take down the clones.
Universe 6 fighters were the strongest among their universe? Freeza's henchmen were pretty much the strongest dudes around back in the Freeza Saga, so I'm not sure why you're trying to devalue them. The fact is e ended up clobbering Zarbon who could transform, and clobbered Jeice too. Don't really see how those wins are less impressive than taking down other second tier fighters like Magetta, Frost (who also was already fatigued by the way), and Cabba.

Freeza's top henchmen were the strongest in the universe and Jeice was part of the Ginyu Force, the best in the universe. Remember, Vegeta was considered top-tier by Freeza's men when he was only 18,000. They only seem weak to us now because the power scale jacked up after the Freeze Saga.
