Explanation:
I'm doing a project for my school art coursework, one which involves manga. One of the artists I'm looking at is Akira Toriyama (specifically, Dragon Ball (more of the earlier works)). We had to pick a starting point from a sheet and I chose "characters/letters"-- from that my starting point is Japanese sound effects, mainly in manga. Lo and behold, I realise my DB manga has translated sound effects.
I really, really don't want to start again. I take the classes after school because they can't fit them into my timetable, so I have to do a lot of my work at home. I've already done a lot of work towards this -- including a nice big page about Akira Toriyama, hehe. I'm aware this project is a little unoriginal but I'm finding it fun and for something that needs a lot of work put into it I may as well do something I enjoy.
What I'm asking of you:
If anyone has any manga scans (not the whole things, I don't need that!) of mainly the earlier Dragon Ball, that would be awesome. Pages with sound effects, that is, are great. Especially things like Yamcha's "wolf fang fist/rougafuufuuken" would be awesome. Oh, one thing I'd also love is Freeza's "hohoho"! I want to do a few examples on my research of the sound effects in use and that would be absolutely great. I'm having an absolutely terrible time finding the things, the most I can find is those really bad pixel-y scans.
Dear god, I apologise for the jumble that post was but I couldn't seem to write it any other way
