The thing is.. I would love if Broly and Nappa would make into the game but with 16 already being the big burly grapple/ Bull doze guy. I dont see how Nappa and Broly would fair any differently. I mean sure we could have the King, Armor King and Craig Marduk thing going on like in T6-TT2. All 3 would have esthetically similar styles but the meat and potatoes of it would be that 16 is a mix between grappler and brawler ( Armor King), Nappa would be the primary brawler with some grapples here and there ( Craig marduk) and Broly would be the Heavy but not slow Primary Grappler with some bulldozing moves to tip it off. I think that would work fairly well.. Until you add Kale but I guess her Wild Berserker form would be part of her Ultimate While her Mastered state would be her primary phase. She'd play like Jaycee or Julia Chang, Light and nimble version 16 with some heavy grapples that make her jell well with the primary grappler Broly.

I Agree with Raditz being primarily counter based.. Could make him pretty cheap but also predictable.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

I get your point, but there are usually more then just one grappler/big characters in fighting games, and devs can make them play totally different. But now I'll be more specific on how this could work in this game:
#16: He is already in, and he is not really a regular grappler, more like a hybrid. He has a couple of command grabs, but he also has longer range projectiles, and various midrange attacks. His speed is still not very slow, and his self destruct move is anything but a regular command grab.
Nappa: He is big, and not neccesary very fast in the anime. We also never see him doing any grappling moves iirc. Most of his energy attacks expect his mouth blast doesn't go too far away. He could be a midrange character in the game, with a higher damage and HP, but not very good on speed, and no high rage attack except the mouth blast. They could also give him a limited time power up (similar to Freeza's Golden form transformation) he had in the anime. You know, when the sky darkens and a thunderbolt strikes him, and then he has an electric aura, right before he starts to fight Tenshinhan.
Brolly: If you watch his movie debut, and familiar with MvC, I'm sure you agree with me he could fight in a similar way as Juggernaut: Slow speed, armor on many moves, high damage. That would make him different from anyone in the current set of characters in DBFZ. Only #16 has a move with armor, but that's only his super. Brolly could have armor for even some of his normals. He has a few energy blast attacks in the movie, but that cloud be changed as they cloud all be the follow up for some striking attack, or a grappling move.
Also if they decide to leave out movie characters for now, he could be replaced with Recoom or Magetta easily. This style of fighting would fit them too.

Also about Raditz, just look at Extreme Butoden, he have a good couple of moves in the anime that could be adopted into a fighting game. What Extreme Butoden don't have is his two way energy blast (all EB super moves work the same), that could cover a lot of the screen, but with a longer startup to ballance it out. He also has an electric ki blast (someone already posted it here) which could paralyze the opponent, and could work as a nice combo starter.

Hmm… Actually, I thought a little, I want Bulma as playable character. Something stupid, crazy and fun. As a joke character.

Btw, looking at ArcSys' HNK game, and the way the implemented various scenes from anime as super moves, I wouldn't be suprised, if they add Nappa a super move where he flies up to the sky, crushes attacking airplanes, and then the debris falls on the opponent, and damages him. :D

I don't know what they are thinking but they just released a new hype video, this time about Goku - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH2XGsK2BEQ

"Goku joins the fight." For everyone that still wasn't sure the main character would be in this game...Wait, what?!
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Huh? Those images are old, they belong to the same thing that revealed Super Saiyan Rosé Goku Black to the public last year. It doesn't have anything to do with this game.

Actually, it kinda does. These art boards will be in Collector's Edition of DBFZ. But I agree, I hurried to conclusions.

Phew! You scared me Ranmaru. I sincerely hope we won't have a case of five Gokus in this game.

Yeah, I love Bardock and all, but his moveset is not very unique, and not a good fit for a competitive fighter like this one. His 30 seconds appearence as SSJ in the medocre Episode of Bardock is also not the best iteration of him, or the most popular. Wouldn't make sense.

These character intros are weird.
Either they forgot to release them months ago or they are ramping up until they hit us in the face with a new character, "forcing" us to check the channel often for the possibility of more surprises.

I'm curious if the music in the background are character themes

I wouldn't like SSJ Bardock on the game, I mean he's not even part of the main story. Even though some liked that atrocious OVA, I always considered him like a "What-If" character.

Base Bardock would be better.

You bring up an interesting point.

It's almost as if they wanted to begin with solo character reveals, but finally decided to reveal the game with a 6-character gameplay montage. And now they're saying, 'hey, why not show that as well?'

It does come out as incredibly underwhelming, though.

As I remember, Atlus did for P4AU, trailers for all characters, even for characters that was in previous game. So, why not.

Not sure if this would go into the "Fan-works" category, or just the "Dragonball Video games" board, so I guess I'll just post them onto both.

Now, I know that this game is already confirmed to be getting an English dub, seeing how well Dragonball does here in the states. But, I was bored one day, and I don't think anybody's done this yet, so...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoXEYmwPyd8

I took the liberty of taking the pre-battle intros of (so far) all the playable DEMO characters in the upcoming Dragonball FightersZ, and adding some English dub voice clips over it. Though, due to the nature of all the footage I've been trying to obtain, which all included background noises of people yelling and making sounds as they were playing it (the videos I got them from came out before any raw gameplay came out), I had to re-do the sound effects as well.

Yeah, I'm game with that. Different body type, design and moves? It's a totally new character. It's the characters who look like they got out of a clone machine that bugs me. Goku Black excepted, of course.
