Manabe and Ono have a full 10 weeks since their last episode, that's pretty exciting.

107
Writer- Toshio
Director/Storyboard- Nagamine + Nakamura
Supervisor- Ishikawa

108
Writer- Fukushima
Storyboard-???
Director- Hiroshima Hideki
Supervisor- Yashima

109
Writer- Hiroshi Yamaguchi
Director/storyboard- Karasawa Kazuya
Supervisor- Manabe + Ono

Surprised 109 isn't written by Tomioka or King Ryu.
I'm not really sure how to feel about this staff list.

I think 107 should be nice, Toshio's a decent writer, and Nagamine is an extremely good director and I'm sure that could make something out of Ishikawa, who is okay.

108 is a Yashima episode, so I'm not really expecting anything out of that. It'll probably have Atsushi Nikaido on it, but other than his stuff, I think it's going to be another 100. Hopefully Fukushima can at least deliver an enticing plot, though judging by his past episodes, I'm skeptical to say the least.

109 is easily the most interesting. Hiroshi is apparently a fairly new writer for the show with an impressive resume, though I don't think his stuff on Super has been that great, hopefully he can deliver something satisfying here. Kazuya is one of the strongest directors on Super, so seeing him paired with Manabe and Ono, who are very competent, should at least be pleasant.

Overall, I'm excited for 107 and 109, but I think 108 will probably be lacklustre.

Yeah #108 definitely doesn't look promising, the problem is the fact that it is #108 that's leaving us off for 2 weeks before the special. I'd take #108 just being boring. Fukushima is not great, his Copy Vegeta stuff remains his best work.

Fukushima wrote two of my favorite episodes in the ToP, 98 and 103.
I didn't mind Yashima's work on 100 and Tsuji might have an extra week to do corrections on 108 as well due to the break this week.

Yeah, Fukushima to me is more of a miss than hit script writer. The majority of the episodes he writes are typically pretty dull with a couple of exceptions. Him being paired with someone whose usually underwhelming like Yashima, doesn't really boost my confidence for how the episode is going to turn out.

I'm confused. Which of these two words are first name, Toshio or Yoshitaka?

OK, so that's not 100% sure, but here you go:

Tsutomu Ono tweeted this last week. I sent it to Ajay on Twitter, and while he doesn't believe it's from Super, here's the translation he sent me:
"He's complaining that a series he's supervisor on has had an episode in progress since May. A huge bunch of drawings are done but well over half need to be corrected"

With the fact he's supervisor of 109, I believe he's talking about this, but Ajay isn't sure so take it as you want, just wanted to share it with you guys!

I wonder if the series directors showing up just before the special might give us a hint at when the peak of the climax of the ToP might be. Maybe they are showing up here because the ToP might be ending soon enough that if they did the special they wouldn't be able to to do the peak of the climax.
I could see 116 being the ToP's equivalent to 39 and 66, giving it an 8 episode climax.

Toshio is his family name.

5ish months of animation production for a Super episode? That doesn't sound right.
If it is Super 109 that's pretty impressive, and if most of the animation is already done then the 4 weeks (6 when he posted) till air time should be a good amount of time to correct that half that needs it, especially since Ide would probably correct a huge chunk of that.

Hey guys, after re-watching episode 100, i spotted a weird error
In the scene where Android 18 is running, the explosions behind her reveal a strange white platform with some black lines
We can clearly read ""Toei Animation"" down right
What could it be?

I'm surprised nobody pointed that out

Twitter translate also mentions October... Surely this all can't be a coincidence? What other shows does he work on?

Does Ono also do work on pokémon? That's the only anime that plans five months ahead that I know of.
On hiatus.

Are these actual shots from the episode or taken from the OP?

Super's shots are from the OP, yeah.

Doubt we'll see anything from the episode for a while.

Ahh. Well I guess the NEP really will be when we see something then. I guess we should also brace ourselves for the OP stuff being re-used in the episode(s)?, if it is integrated like Tate's Bergamo (remember him?) guess it won't be too bad.

I have a strong feeling that he'll be involved in the debut of Goku's new form in the special. He has always had a stylistic influence in some way in the major episodes of Super.

107 looks great. But really surprised about 108. Feels underwhelming. But depends what KAs are on that episode. Let's see how the episode turns out.
