I've actually got a Commander Red and Fortune Teller Baba set being delivered soon. I'll be selling them as soon as I get them (I've already got the R4 box sets).

So are these out of print now? Unfortunate, does that mean they're going to do a "remastered" re-release of Dragonball too? I was hoping to rebuy my piccolo Jr. DVDs because one of them is pretty scratched up.

Keep checking out small stores and you may find a used or new copy. The store that had a used Red Ribbion Army also had a used Piccolo Jr. so you just need to keep searching.

The ones I've been able to find for myself so far are the General Blue, Fortune Teller Baba, and Tenshinhan sagas. Two of them I found in a couple of FYE locations and the General Blue I got recently at a con for OVER 30 BUCKS!
They are indeed rare, which is a shame because they are my favorite Funimation releases of a DB TV series so far. I really hope to get them all, especially since I too sense more widescreen "remastered" releases beyond just the DBZ series.

I ordered the Commander Red and Baba DVDs.

Just need to find Tournament + Red Ribbion Army to complete my collection of all the US DVD releases. Damn you Lions Gate!

I was missing a few earlier ones and just bought the R4 First Half from Madman to get all of the ones I was missing (including Saga of Goku). It was about $90, but that's about what I would have paid to get the US releases too.

Anyone find any cheap Trunks/Android Saga DVD sets? I refuse to buy the Widescreen sets from now on, but I really don't want to spend crazy cash on some of the older sets.

I mean, with these be all-end all widescreen releases, you'd think stores would cut the fulscreen sets' prices in half, no?

Zstore, of all places, are selling episode DVDs for 13$, which isn't too bad a price. They're also one of the few places you KNOW you'll get the 5-episode Trunks DVD.

It's brilliant strategy on their part. Phasing out the original singles and sets makes it impossible for a person interested in filling the holes of his collection to do so through those means, which in turn leads him to the only available option: Season Sets. The further in time we progress, the more and more people we're going to have purchasing episodes they already have in order to get their hands on the one or two singles volumes they didn't manage to track down originally.

Absolutely nothing Dragon Ball, though, except for the fourth movie and movie boxset. :( Clicking on the featured link for the Tournament Saga DVD leads to a "ITEM NOT FOUND" page.

Amazon.com has:

Trunks DVDs used & new from $4.99 & up

Androids DVDs used and new from $2.99 & up

And if you're interested in the Imperfect/Perfect Cell sagas, they're also there used & new for around the same prices.

You guys want the last episodes of Dragon Ball? Sellers on Amazon have it.

http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Picco ... 000095IZS/

That'll be $200, though.

What the HELL are people thinking?

For Prelude to Terror, you really need the rerelease, though, and Amazon/Ebay sellers generally never bother mentioning which version they're selling. Zstore outright states the version they're selling is the rerelease.

And yeah, their selection is pretty bad. They do have a selection of Freeza, Trunks and Great Saiyaman DVDs, though.

For DBZ DVDs I would go to half.com. I found some amazing prices (buu saga DVDs for like 3 bucks a piece brand new.) In fact I got the whole series (minus the freeza saga) for about 3-6 dollars per DVD. With DB I got each saga for about 15 bucks. I really lucked out on that tournament saga because on ebay they go for 100 dollars. I actually thought about selling mine on there...but I think I want to sell the R4 version instead. So if anyone is interested in that let me know.
