I hear ya, Rocketman. Adult ChiChi would seem to be a requirement if you stick in Kid ChiChi-- it kinda doesn't make sense to have the latter and not the former, y'know?

Looks like Spike did away with the Z Search/Lock On feature since it's nowhere to be seen on the command and button chart. Speaking of Z Search, what the hell does the L1 button do? Looks like they did away the left and right block as well.Thanos6 wrote:New scan!

Well, no, it's not going to ruin the game. But, I mean, they're giving us a dozen Goku's so that he properly fits in with the story... but Gohan gets both arms? How the hell does that make sense?Neon Z wrote:Doesn't the yellow outfit also change the symbol? I don't think it's a placeholder. The one-armed costume might be an unlockable in story mode, like Goku's costumes in B2, but I don't see why they'd keep that costume's existence so secretive if it really existed. His generic throw animation also worries me, of course.
In any case, It's not a big problem, it's just that F.Gohan will lose a bit of his uniqueness.
Also, did anyone else notice that Kid Chi-Chi is flying in the trailer?

It's a legitimate complaint. They put in Arale, for Christ's sake-- a great addition and admirable fanservice, to be sure, but at the cost of a character who makes worlds more sense than the younger incarnation she was given. It should either be Arale and ChiChi, or ChiChi and Kid ChiChi; Arale and Kid ChiChi at the expense of ChiChi is just . . .kvon wrote:You and your one-liners.Rocketman wrote:But...there's no 23rd Budokai ChiChi...baragon_kun wrote: dude You think that was Really Necessary

HOLY. HELL.

Really, why do people even moan about this game? Look, just about everyone wanted GT Goku, and we got him. Arale and Blue were also wanted. We even got Future Gohan. So why the Hell are the guys on Atari's forum STILL moaning? Oh, just because Future Gohan uses only 1 arm for his attacks, and he doesn't have an only 1 arm costume, this game is gonna be hell! Just be thankful that you actually got who you begged and pleaded for, you whiny bitches! Just because everything isn't perfect does NOT mean that this game is gonna suck, cause it isn't. At all. I think all of the new additions is going to make this the best Dragonball game ever created!
*Gets out of seat and claps
Thank You. Jesus I am so sick of all the bitching over who is in and who is out. I am happy to get another DBZ game for the PS2. I thought the last one would be the final hoorah for the Ps2.
And again on the whole future Gohan thing. Ask yourselves this all who complain: Were there any hidden costumes in BT2 or one or the original Budokai games for that matter? Any mention of hidden costumes for this one? Because I have not heard of any. Also there was a video that showed battle damaged F Gohan and his arm just goes limp, it does not fall off. It was on youtube but I can't find it now. Yes it was a demo, but the game was already far along at that point.
Anyways I won't post anymore on this matter. I won't even say I told you so when the game is out and he has both arms cause it doesnt really matter. The game will be fun I will buy it and kill GT Kid Goku over and over again.
Cause I don't like him.
And for comedy's sake here my impersonation of the Atari Forum Kids:
"WAAAAH WHERE IS MY GT GRANDMA PAN SHE Izzz important to tda plotz1111!!!!! I know by this game and will attack tha ataris!!!!1111!!!!"
Good Night.

I seriously can't believe that they aren't putting him in the game. I'm pretty sure that in the new PV, there's a DB scene with Adult Kuririn in it...it looks retarted!

Looks like #17 and #18 got their tag-team attack from Budokai 3, yay for no more generic energy wave finishes.Thanos6 wrote:http://www.imagehack.eu/uploads/3df85cf574.jpg

Well, to show a little fairness on Spike's part (though I will admit to them being lazy if a one-arm skin isn't included, since Sagas of all games was able to pull it off), Gohan did have both arms in the TV Special for the "first" battle with the Androids. Also, a flashback Trunks (or Cell thinking of his timeline, kinda debatable given he has his scar in it) has in a Perfect Cell saga episode where Gohan and teen Trunks battle the Androids together. We can just say that Spike is using the Gohan from that specific flashback in terms of design and moves learned from Piccolo, while moves like his energy shield are taken from the special.Xyex wrote:But, I mean, they're giving us a dozen Goku's so that he properly fits in with the story... but Gohan gets both arms? That definitely sounds like WATANABE Naoko as Chichi (her actress from 1990 on), so whoever said it was SHOU Mayumi (the original Chichi for all of DB and early DBZ) on the JP Wiki just got my hopes up.

Does anyone recognize Namu's new actor, though? He sounds familiar, but I can't place it. It's also quite possible I don't know him at all, since I don't exactly watch much new anime.

I'm being semi-sarcastic about "You and your one-liners". I'm also crying a river for some characters that didn't make the cut. Adult ChiChi and Kid Kuririn were the ones I was crying about. Yeah, Tambourine killing adult Kuririn just doesn't look right in the Promotional Video.Li'l Lemmy wrote:It's a legitimate complaint. I have a terrible feeling its that one settings screen with Nappa and Vegeta where Mr. Sabat stuck in that 9000 gag.

You could always play Super Dragon Ball Z. Plus the fact shes called Kid Chichi makes it seem like if another Sparking game is made Older Chichi might show up.Rocketman wrote:But...there's no 23rd Budokai ChiChi...baragon_kun wrote:dude You think that was Really NecessaryRocketman wrote: Fuck you, game designers.

Looks like we get two for one with the Freeza Soldier character. His alternate costume is a different soldier.

I don't know if this is old or not as I never played the version of BT2 with the 6 extra characters.
I hope you can pick multiples of the same character in this one besides Saibamen and Cell Jr. Did they let you pick multiple metal Coolers last time I can't remember?
Anyways it would be fun to pick this guy to get a little army battle like when Vegeta goes into Freeza's ship and all of the men were scared like all hell.

considering that 17 has actually done that one hand blast in that same stance before in the manga/anime.
18 aswell, minus all the hardcore bitch slapping

They jus' decide to go with the whole 17 and 18 being twins! Not to mention the fact that Future Gohan is in! So all the pieces are pefectly in place now so they needed to put in the "imfamous" move they used to kill him. It would be like Goku not having the Super sprit bomb to kill Buu.

I'm very happy with the three different Spirit Bombs for the three different Gokus, that makes the whole Early, Mid and Late thing much more interesting!
Oh and so far we've only seen #17 with the double team attack that killed Future Gohan Ultimate (I'm guessing it will have a shorter name than that...), #18 could still have her ultimate from BT2.

I wonder if they called her KID Chichi because they were worried some people (like those who never watched early DragonBall before Chichi grew up) wouldn't recognize her. A lot of North American fans may not have watched DragonBall at all, and may only be familiar with the adult Chichi's appearance.Gaiash wrote: You could always play Super Dragon Ball Z. Although, I would also consider Gaiash's theory, too.
