I caught one of the animated segments in the History of Japan special. Goku ran off to fight a mammoth because Gohan said they were tough foes for people of the time. Oh Goku.

You know what Gohan i want?A Gohan that pays the consequences for his actions,we only had that once and that was in the Buu saga and he still had a 2nd chance which he screwed up again.
No Piccolo taking a hit or dying for him again like in the previous episode/rof/saiyan saga.
No Goku or Trunks dying because of his own mistakes like in the cell saga.
No second chance like in the cell and buu saga,the others make one mistake and thats it for them.

Just let him suffer for his own mistakes instead of the others suffering for them or taking the blow for him.

I feel like the same could apply to Vegeta, yet you seem to specifically hate Gohan.

Yeah i'm really confused as to how Frieza betraying u7 will work...

But these spoilers have been misleading before though right? What they're referring to in these spoilers could just be minor things that lead to nothing of consequence. I remember spoilers for ep 99 focused on Krillin throwing powered up dustructo discs only for it to be no big deal. The preview for episode 100 went on about how Goku was gonna take his sweet ass time to teach Caulifla and Kale how to go SSB because they asked, a scenario that would have made zero sense. What actually happened though was that that ended up being just a one off joke line by Caulifla and the "lesson" that it referred to was just regular ol' match. I think a preview for an episode said Master Roshi got separated from group and had to wait for the others, implying he was in trouble. What actually happened was a team up between him and Tien, yes Master Roshi was separated, but he wasn't really in trouble and if he was that sequence lasted 2 minutes anyway so it didn't matter.

So why are we taking these previews so seriously? Are they different from the ones that came before it?

Not to mention the attack literally needing to be apparently made by someone who is pure of heart.

But hey at least I have something from the story that tells us something, while you come up and make excuses instead of giving me one instance in any medium where the Genki Dama works as you have suggested it.

Thats funny because had you actually checked that official material (i.e. the manga) you'd know there's no such thing stated there. I'm pretty sure you took that from movie 7 and that, obviously, doesn't count as evidence so, if you made that simple mistake of mixing up references from different mediums, why should I think you know what you're talking about overall? By the way, talk about getting triggered

And again you miss the point of Gohan HAD to deflect it to Vegeta. If it just bounced off him it wasn't gonna automatically go straight to Vegeta. It'd miss him completely like before. Though please do give me just 1 example where it harms a pure of heart being. Or an example where someone pure in manga, anime, movie, or any version is effected by the attack despite being pure of heart. Out of literally every medium we've had, I don't believe one of them even has shown this. At least I CAN point to something. One line even is better than your ZERO lines.

Oh, sorry, should I have said that was my opinion? Because I interpret that scene of the Genkidama going straight at Vegeeta as plot convenience, I don't see Gohan aiming at him anywhere. What I see is Goku telling his son how to not get hit by the ki ball that's right about to.

Of course no one "pure of heart" (seriously, what's up with the obsession for this term?) got harmed by it, that's not what the story wanted to tell. If the only three/four times it got used was against villains/block then that's what we work with. How this proves it can't hurt anyone else is beyond me.



That image is interesting because that's exactly what the manga says (well, swap "any evil" for "evil ki"). Unless I'm mistaken "should be able to" means "is expected to" and not a sure thing, right? Because that's just Goku talking out of his ass (funnily enough, it's the same scene Goku realizes he knows telepathy ). Sure, it's plot relevant and we see it works, I'm not denying that, but there's no proof it's because of what Goku said. In fact, Boo proves that's not the case. Sure, he didn't bounce it back but he stood his own all the same and you can't get more evil ki than him (by the lore of that time).

The Genki Dama can hurt anyone whether they are good or evil. A pure of heart person is the only difference the series has touched upon.

But that's the problem, you keep talking about "pure of heart" but it's said nowhere in the manga. Not having evil ki just means you're a good guy (i.e. not a villain), any good guy will do. And they aren't immune to its collateral damage anyway, so...

Sorry but I'm done here, this became off-topic and I won't respond to it anymore, we'll just see what Super does.

So since you mention Vegeta i assume you agree with me?I don't hate Gohan as a character but i hate how the narrative shields him from his own mistakes.

The same does not apply for Vegeta because:
Freeza saga:What Freeza did to him,he destroyed him and then made him cry like a bitch.
Cell saga:After helping Cell reach his perfect form,Cell destroyed him and then 1 hitko bitchslapped him in the cell games.
Buu saga:After having his mid life crisis and helping awakening Majin buu,Buu rekted him and then Vegeta killed himself for nothing.Even then he came back to life only to become Kid buu's punching bag while Goku is the one to finish him.
BOG:He did nothing wrong there.
Rof:He took to long finishing of Frieza only for him to be killed by him again.
U6 arc:He stole his teamate win but at the least Hit destroyed him.
Future Trunks Arc:He did nothing wrong but he still got rekted by Black all the same.

You could say Vegeta got away from mass genocide pretty lightly but he did pay for his mistakes at the least,the same cannot be said about Gohan since somebody else suffers for them in his place outside of the time Super buu absorbed him(failling to catch the earring was his 2nd chance that he screwed up,the first one was when he played around with Buu but Piccolo and Gotenks were the ones to suffer from that mistake).

No it didn't. All the summery said for Episode 100 was that Cali asked how Goku to go Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Nothing about Goku actually teacher her or him taking his time about it.

Frieza's quote of shared hatred for the Saiyans may end up being him saying to Gohan, "Hmm ... maybe I should join forces with Frost instead ... and wipe out all you filthy Saiyans from ALL universes ..." or something, only to smirk and hit Frost instead, causing Gohan to gulp cautiously.

It said Caulifla ignored Kale because she was caught up in her Super Saiyan training. People flipped their shit assuming it was Blue, when Goku was actually teaching her to use Super Saiyan 2.

That summary is misleading. You can say people jumped to conclusions but the preview words it in a way that anyone could come to the easy conclusion that he was teaching her blue and I asked why if these summaries have been misleading or focused on minor things that didn't matter, are being taking so seriously.

Also MY main gripe with the preview wasn't that it implied Goku was teaching them Blue, but the fact that he was teaching or training them at all because it sounded crazy.

Now can someone answer my question please?
Why are we taking these previews so seriously?
Are they more credible?

Edit: Just remembered that Goku did kind of teach her didn't he? Oh well I still stand by opinion of it being crazy and making zero sense. However the preview is still misleading.
